The Seven Day Challenge

For my amazing family here on Christianity Oasis, I NEED to share something with you. Recently, I have had God speak to me and He told me this clearly, for 7 days, you must free yourself from any addiction that stunts your relationship with Me and enhance your relationship with Me any way you can. Three days later, today, I found myself sitting in a small meadow near sunset with paper and a pen. Therefore, I asked God to guide my hand, and this is what I wrote. I encourage you to think about this and sign it if God is calling, but think before you do, this is not for everyone.
For seven days, we will commit ourselves to our Father God. To be able to do that, we will free ourselves from any addiction that plagues our relationship. For seven days, we will not succumb to the pull or call of video games, bad or ungodly music, lying, cheating, bad websites, and any other addictions. Instead, we will apply our time to doing godly deeds, reading the Bible, spending time with family, and answering God's calls. We will also commit to doing at least one thing for the Kingdom each day of this challenge. This may include sharing a smile with a stranger, talking openly with lost people about the Word of God, or any act of peace.
We understand that this will not be easy, but God never promised Christians an easy life. He will provide for us, but we cannot stand aside and do nothing to enhance our relationship with our Almighty Father. This is our prayer. "Our Lord in Heaven, may You guide us through this journey with a strong and firm hand, and forgive us if we go astray. May we, no matter how difficult, not stray away from this challenge You gifted us with. Help us stay strong in faith and heart, and may Your will be done. Amen."
So far, I signed this and so has Kaylee. For those that do not know, my sister and I have played Call of Duty every day for the last month. We have been playing for months now and have a great addiction to this. We will not put it away however, because the temptation will make us stronger and more resistant to the devil. Again, do not sign this until you have thought about this. We started late today, but the seven days for us start tomorrow. If this is not for you, recommend this to a friend who might need this.
