Revelations 1 : 8, 17, 18

verse 8

I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is , and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

verse 17

And when i saw him, i fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

verse 18

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, A-men'; and have the keys of hell and of death.


That is powerful statement.. one that can only be made by our SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST... and its something that makes satan and his followers cringe. but for us the Believers and followers of JESUS... its something that should make us want to jump up and down like little kids for joy......in verse 18 it say I am he that liveth, and was dead..... I am alive forevermore... He didn't just die...He conquered death... all the time we see statues.. wall murals.. and jewelry with crosses that depict our Savior on the cross. .... * no offense to those that own them* ... but.. WHY?... He is not on the cross any more.. its over its done... HE rose again .. He is no longer dead.... now He is with the Father in heaven.... and He is waiting by the Father on the edge of His seat because He is so excited about coming to get us..

It also says in those verses about three times in one form or another.. that He is the First and the Last... to me that is like God's way of saying ... i don't care who started it... I'M GONNA FINISH IT!.. it says too " and have the keys of hell and of death"... Everything is In His Hands... He is just and perfect.. He makes no mistakes.. He will protect us in that time of judgment... we are His forever... in verse 17 He says Fear not.... and why should we...?... with Him... we have nothing to fear.
