Sept 24 - Under Attack
"The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever amen."
(2 Timothy 4:18)
Do you feel you have been under attack by Satan? I have. This past year has literally been one thing after another. God promised us that He will bring us safely to His Heavenly Kingdom.
What we experience on earth is temporary. But being with Him in His heavenly Kingdom will be forever.
This is our hope. Jesus is the rock on which we stand. We shall not be moved.
He is our refuge and strength and will lead us through all this till we see Him face to face.
In myself I long for it to be today!
Love You all

Under attack
Satan never gives up. He works all the time, especially attacking God's children who are walking in the steps of our Lord. Closer we get to the Lord, the harder satan has to work to draw us away. He attacks us thru physical illness, financial problems, emotional needs....any way he can.
Sylvia, you are right on track by reading and quoting His Word. Think about the positive things in your life (that is what keeps me going....I see the list of good vs bad in my life and know that our Father has given me much more GOOD than the bad that satan has tossed my way.)
As I sat in a crude camp house yesterday with a friend, listening to him pour out his heart, unloading the grief he is experiencing over the death of his wife (not an eternal death...just the physical death that moved her to their eternal home), I kept thinking back some 14 years and felt the pain he is feeling right now. I gently reminded him that he must go forward with his life; his wife would not have wanted him to stop living just because she is no longer there by his side. He looked me in the eye and said, "I want to be at peace as you are and as happy as you have become." Smiling, I assured him that with the Lord's help, he will arrive there. He is on the first lap of that journey, as you, Sylvia, are.
Right now with the rain falling and clouds obscuring the sun, I have music playing LOUD....when I play the music loud, my kids ask me if I am trying to play it so my precious Jack can hear those favorite songs of ours. LOL Am glad I went to the cemetery yesterday afternoon before the hard rains began....sat on our headstone and told Jack about my day...how I tried to guide our friend Lane along the road to recovery. In my heart, I know that Jack approves of my ministry to the grieving spouses.
This has gone on much toooooo long, but I felt like talking to you this morning. And maybe, just maybe, my words can bring comfort to you and others who may be struggling. Grab your Bible, pray, read the scriptures, pray for understanding of what you have read, then thank our Father for His love.
