Strengthening our walk with God
Paul was so very faithful in His love and following of God. He wanted us to become stronger in our own faith and to grow closer to God...and with that in mind He shared the following.
I Thessalonians 5:16-23
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sometimes we don't feel like rejoicing...but God wants to be praised in the storm...He wants us to pray continually and to draw near to Him...He wants us to be thankful in all things...good and bad...He doesn't want us to hold back the Holy Spirit...as sometimes we are prone to do when we want things our way and not His...He wants us to hear those who prophesy in His name...but of course we need to prove those prophesies to make sure they are of Him and not of the enemy...and we are to stay away from anything that appears to be of the enemy....but most of all preserving ourselves in our Spiritual walk with the Lord and making sure we check our spirit, soul and body to make sure we are being Spiritual and not fleshly in all things...will bring us to refrain from sinful activities and to walk closer to God and to show others Him living within us. We are a witness in all things at all times to whoever may at that moment be watching.

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
