parents. got slapped choked kicked
spanked with a flyswatter bare hand and
yardstick dragged and thrown. started
drinking when i was 12 smoking and drugs
when i was 15 and cutting when i was 16

I'm sorry those things were done to you, Tami, and sorry you were exposed to the drinking and drugging and cutting, too.

The Good News is, you have been given a new life in the love of Jesus and God The Father, The Holy Spirit is inside you and The Lord will never leave nor forsake you. The Lord loves you so very much, and He will heal all your past, present and future hurts.

I'm so glad The Lord led you here to Christianity Oasis. I know the heart He has given you that has you reaching out to others that are hurting, too. You are not alone, Tamileist, and you have the love of Christ inside you.

Prayers are rising to our Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. May God's blessed will be done.

Many people here have similar stories. SOS is a chat session especially for this. And there are many forums that can help you learn that God loves you. God does love you. And that is the most difficult concept when your parents didn't act like parents.

You can find SOS by going to chat and looking at the schedule. You can also find many helpful studies and also counseling sessions here. Hang around and get to know people and read a little here and a little there. It will help. You will find it is gentle here.
