Hi everyone,

I was wanting to discuss the origin of sexual curiosity which evolves into addiction.

Now, I know that we all have the Original Sin within us ...

But, I wanted to talk about the origin of sexual curiosity in OUR lives.

I will share first ...

I was just a lil ole kid and my dad and I were on our yearly trip to the coast to go fishing.

We stopped at this place we stopped at every year where he would buy us the usual cheese and crackers for the trip.

I went to the restroom and while in there I found a magazine. I opened it and tho I saw what was going on, I had no clue what they were doing or why.

And yet ... My mind and flesh was stimulated.

From that point on ... Sexual curiosity overcame me and the next thing you know, I was behind the couch with the neighbor's daughter while hers and my parents played bridge. And yes, we were busted.

So, as you can see ... A combination of the Original Sin within me, the added ingredient of the magazine (Despite my having any clue what it meant) opened the door within me which appeared to ALREADY HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF INTENT OF SEX WITHIN IT.

Now, I have oft times wondered if it carries thru bloodline just like physical characteristics ...

You know, he has his daddy's eyes and his momma's hair kinda thing.

Are these sexual addiction traits also passed along too?

I mean we know mankind got Original Sin from Adam ...

But, what of other creatures of God?

Do they not have this same thing going on?

An animal knows when another is in heat and without being taught, knows what to do.

The mother naturally takes care of her young, being untaught as well.

This kinda thing.

So, is the plague of sexual curiosity within us at birth, lying dormant, awaiting a stimulant ... Or is it merely the stimulant which has us act on impulse?

The origin of sexual curosity in our lives I believe is awakened in different ways for all of us...but I believe we are born into the original sin and as such we know that man and woman were created to go forth and procreate. This being so, I believe God placed within us sexual desires to be used in marriage. The problem lies in the fact that the enemy of course has taken and twisted what God meant for good.

My parents were very sheltering, so sexual matters were very foreign to me until I was in high school. I think the most I ever thought about was what it would be like to kiss a boy. But then in high school, everyone had a boyfriend and I wanted one too. I met a boy that was a senior and I was a freshmen. We dated for several years...and that first kiss led to another and then on to more things that he knew about that I wanted to know about.

God is the creator of all things including the act of sex. After all, man and woman were created in this way, and I dont believe it was for the SOLE purpose of procreating, tho def the main one no doubt. It is obviously an act that makes people feel good also. This too is because of the way we were created.
Sex is something that God meant for us to enjoy, with our mates within a covenant.

For some reason people think thats just ludicrous that God would want people to enjoy sex, but seriously, God created every single inch of us...

I believe that God places that ability to feel sexual desire within us.

But like all things, satan who cant create diddly squat, has instead taken this precious gift from God and distorted and contorted it. Another counterfeit from the Father of Lies. What was meant to be shared in LOVE has been twisted into something that most people consider dirty, or wrong, or shameful.

But I dont believe sex or sexual desire is wrong. I believe the distorted version that we have come to accept, to crave for, is whats wrong. I believe its the 'learned' sexual desires that are a prob, cuz we are learning from others who have already accepted the twisted versions. The bible speaks of 'unnatural' practices.

At the root of every addiction, every vice, is a longing for fulfilment. Pornography is a billion dollar industry. And tho at the surface it appears to targets flesh, the main target is the soul. The heart is what is hooked by the promises of having that void filled by a momentary pleasure. Here are some stats:

Every second - $3,075.64 is being spent on pornography
Every second - 28,258 Internet users are viewing pornography
Every second - 372 Internet users are typing adult search terms into search engines
Every 39 minutes: a new pornographic video is being created in the United States


Yet after viewing pornorgraphy, masturbation, or having sex, most people find themselves feeling even emptier within their soul. Thats cuz God meant for SEX and LOVE to go hand in hand. Not one without the other.

Cuz without LOVE, it is merely satisfying the flesh. But with LOVE, sex can be a spiritual act, the way God intended.

Getting off track here really fast, so gonna cut it short.

So first recognizing it as, and then untwisting the twisted within our mind and heart, bringing it back to where God intended... should be our goal.

Hopefully i answered the question somewhere within there

Oh definitely.

I think thats the main reason why we do, even if we dont realize it at the time and think its all about fulfilling desires of the flesh.

Oh for sure...I know after my divorce...filling the VOID...was something I struggled with greatly...and the sexual addiction took over and ruled me...until I found Jesus 2 years later.
