Day 3

I have been helping out with a family emergency and have been unable to carry on with this study until now. OK, that's not true, is it? The family emergency bit is true, but the being unable to find the time for Bible study is not. The TRUTH is I chose not to study.
Day three is about the planting of seeds (good or bad thoughts) in our minds (soul) and reaping the related emotional (spiritual) and physical (flesh) effects. This course is proving much more difficult than I imagined...
When I was a teenager many years ago, I read some works by Norman Vincent Peele on the power of positive thinking and even peer taught a class on PMA (Positive Mental Attitude). But something seemed to be missing...i know now that that something was Jesus. How could I have missed the one thing that would ensure success in achieving and maintaining a positive mental attitude? How could I have left Jesus out of the process?
I am excited about beginning the Miracle Grow project. Setting goals for myself will, hopefully, keep me motivated in my quest to fulfill my calling. I can't wait to start spending more time with my Lord and Savior...even though thinking, speaking, and acting on the TRUTH will not always be a pleasant exercise.
