Todays word brings up so many memories. It troubles me that there is so little discipleship within the church today and even when it is , it is often missing the mark. When I was saved, I was discipled to study the word, trained to use concordances and bible study aids, serve out of a sense of duty and obligation, and be in absolute agreement with my pastor. It sounds good, but theres no true life in it. I spent time gaining knowledge and some recognition for my zeal but I had no peace. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE A REAL AND LOVING RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, OUR LORD JESUS AND HOLY SPIRIT GOD. Why is this relationship not the first and foremost ''teaching" that new believers experience. Is it because churchs would have no explanations for their divisions and their doctrinal disagreements????? I have no doubt that my often up and down relationship , is the product of my "first steps" not focusing on knowing Him. Thank you Christianity Oasis for making the renewing of our minds and the reality of this relationship the "MAIN THING'
