GOSSIP Devotional from email

It is written A GOSSIP BETRAYS A CONFIDENCE:
SO AVIOD A MAN WHO TALKS TOO MUCH.
(PROVERBS 20:19) NIV

Unfrortunaly,almost every Church has a gossip one must
deal with. Sadly to say sometimes they even run new members
off. They should rember that our Savior,Jesus Christ said,

" JUDGE NOT,AND YOU SHALL NOT BE CONDEMED.FORGIVE
AND YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN." (LUKE6:37)

Below a little humor with a message

Therefore today's message is about the way a new Church
member handeled the gossip

Sarah,the Curch gossip and self-appointed arbiter of the
Curch's morals,kept sticking her nose into other people's
business.now several members were unappreciative of her
activities,but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake,however,when she accused George,
a new member of being an alcholic,affter she saw his pickup
parked in front of the town's only bar one affternoon.

She commented to George and others that everyone seeing
it there would know what he was doing,However,George a man
of few words,stared at her for a moment and just walked away.
He didn't explain,defend or deny-he said nothing.
However,how fitting it was later that evening,George quietly
parked his pickup in front of Sarah's house and left it there
all night.......

some people wont go back to church because of getting hurt by Gossip and lies this is very sad and toubleing that it is even taking place in the house of God and in a christian life expecialy a more mature Christian
we are to love one another as Christ loves us
Gossiping is not showing the Love of Christ Jesus. whispering and makeing
fun of people behide there backs is not showing the Love of Christ either.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Just something to think about and pray about in our Christian walk hear and where ever we go
