This is a great question...

Ive found that the toughest thing for me is kinda what O is talking about. When people come to us for counceling, they come carrying guilt and shame..and think that "we" must have it all together. "We" dont have deep hurts or moments of doubt..or struggles..and are shocked to find out that "we" are just like "them"

There are different levels of growth...and different levels of faith grown as we continue to walk this walk with our Lord. Sometimes..when I feel Im the very strongest in my faith, something happens that knocks the wind out me and I stand wondering what just happened....and during those times, its hard to get back up when you are always supposed to be standing. But, we must.. We all have to fight the good fight and get back up.

I guess my point is that we all struggle..we all have times of doubt..we all have moments when we think we just can't take another step...and without the Lord Jesus and His grace, none of us would be able to minister to anyone at all. We all need Him. We all need His healing hand. We are very similar..you and I...all of us just trying to love the way He loves us..and let others know that they are not alone in their struggles...to maybe be an ear cuz we've been where they are and know that Jesus is reaching for them.

want you all to know that i love you very much and pray for you. May the Lord bless you with all the gifts He knows you need.

in Jesus

What have you found is the toughest aspect of being called to serve the Lord?

You know ... When you are reaching and teaching.

I am finding out (though I thought I have) , the hard part is to tell them "I can't do it FOR you , and so I won't " when I see them relying more and more on that fact that just because I "made" it I can do it FOR them as well . It is still a day-to-day "battle" , it matters not what number(s) showing next to our "victories" , tomorrow we have to do it all over again . Try to tell THAT to someone looking to you for a give me !

hmmm
Ok honesty here For me it would be when you have used all your assessts that God has given you to try reach this person and they still don't get it. They are still at square one. Still seeing no growth but yet wanting you to fix them.
Having to tell them that I can not do it for them and they do have to put forth the effort and chancing hurting their feelings is very hard. Having to tell them that I have told you everything I know to tell you is probably the hardest. Cause then they think that maybe you have give up on them when you really haven't.
Even in the hardest of times...He is there holding our hand
