EASTERFEST 2012

For those you who are new to the Oasis family, Easterfest is a week long celebration focused on the events leading up to the RESURRECTION of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!! What better way to celebrate this season of Renewal that to hang with HIS awesome O Family?

Beginning Monday, April 2nd all regularly scheduled Chat Programs are suspended for this week as we shift our focus to this very specific time. Three 1-hour long programs run from 8-10 PM EST each night as we gather to reflect on various topics surrounding this important piece of Christian Faith. EasterFest concludes Easter Sunday.

Now.... the "Your Help" part...
Each Program is hosted by a willing servant of our Lord. Included in this post are some ideas for programs, If God has placed a topic in your heart… Please Share! We seek those souls willing to host programs as His instrument, o bring these programs to Life.

Please know, we are rather limited for preperation... as y'all know Easter is a just a few weeks away. So if you feel led, Please Share, SOON! PM me or reply here and we will be in touch.

Here are some ideas to get ya thinkin:

All about Easter
Join us as we shed light on what makes Easter so very special for Christians and the various rituals and symbols usually associated with this season.

Games
Multi-Choice, True/False, Who am I?, Fill-in-the-blank; Games can be offered either as one type or multiple within the hour block. The focus should be FUN n Fellowship always.

It is finished
Many still do not know what these three final words uttered by our Lord really means. Join us as we go behind the words to discover their true meaning.

Jesus Loves ME...
This I know : Here we will look at the sacrifice Jesus willingly made for mankind and the reason He chose to lay down His life for us... because He loves us.

Pick a Parable
Jesus often taught those who gathered around him in Parables. In doing so He was best able to reach within their understanding to plant seeds of Truth. Pick the one that speaks to you and share what God has placed on your heart!

Take this Cup
Luke 22:41-46 - A look into Jesus’ prayer on the Mount of Olives.


The Great Commission
As shared in Matthew 28, Jesus calls us to share Truth, show love, and bring to the lost world, the gift of Salvation offered by Him. How does this call impact our lives now? How can we make it a part of our daily life?

The Last Supper/Washing of Feet
The disciples gathered for a meal, Jesus knew it would be their last. Join for a discussion on those events.

The Tomb is Empty
A look at what this meant to those who saw it with their own eyes and what it means to us now.



If you are willing to host a program and wish to build on one of the ideas shared here, Please forward the Program Name, any changes you wish to make to the title or description, and select a day & time. Additionally, you can always host a program based on your own ideas, just send us a Title & Description and the Day & Time you wish, to add to the Calendar. The calendar is filled on a first to request basis and time is runnin out so SHARE SOON!
