Hi zeig,
I think your enthusiasm to serve is great!
Im kinda a person who feels that we can serve passionately without all the glitz and glam and tv ads and techno stuff. Good old fashion love and kindness and spreading the Word is off the wall enuff, being that we dont have enuff people out there dedicated to it, for this world. Anyway to get it out there, just get it out there.
Building bonds and speaking truth to those who want to hear it and see Him.
God places them right in our paths at the right appointed time, now that dont mean dont go out there and look for em... We do that on a daily basis, its being in that mindset every waking hour of how u can serve Him through this situation or that one. Or this person or that one, or this ministry or that one.
good post!
God bless
♥Jill

Oh I think there are tons of ways to serve Zeig...and I find this to be a great question...
I personally like to mail stuff to people who are downtroddened...whether it be a card, a postcard plaque, or maybe just a short note letting them know they are thought of. I think it's just knowing someone cares that can be so important to others at times.
I also enjoy just sitting and talking with people as well. I meet people in the grocery store and the next thing you know they are telling me their problems...despite the fact I have never met these people before...and I listen and encourage them.
I think there is opportunity everywhere...kinda neat to brainstorm like this with others.
Thanks for the post.
With Christian hugs to you

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

The first thing that come to my mind was how I have found picking some flowers and giving them away seems to spread some love and smiles. Often just wild flowers arranged in a small bouquet. But then, that's one thing I love to do. I could spend hours walking in the fields picking flowers and making arrangements out of them. So quiet and peaceful. I should do this for my mother-in-law.
Cool thread.
Cool thread.
Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

This one I learned by watching and listening to Ange. Everywhere he goes, whether it's the doctor, Burger King, grocery store, etc. he tells everyone "Thank You", and that he appreciates what they're doing for him. It just takes about one minute or less per person and people really light up!~
