day 2 - His mercies are new every morning

It is so amazing how truly accepting God's love can change you so much! It sounds so simple but it's been so hard for me to do. But what a difference a day makes!

I have always wallowed in guilt and shame and felt I couldn't return to God until I was "good" again. Truth is, we will never be "good" enough. Its almost prideful to think we could get cleaned up enough to approach God, the only thing that makes us able is wearing the wonderful blood of Jesus!

I have so far to go, and it is still a struggle. I am only two days from having fallen once again. But I encourage anyone who may be struggling, whether with outside circumstances or something you caused from your own disobedience, run to God as fast as you can!! Dont hide, trust that He loves you! The faster you do the quicker you can receive healing and start experiencing joy again, the joy He longs for you to have!

"God does all these things to a man to turn back his soul from the pit, that the light of life may shine on him." Job 33:29-30
