Day 3

Postby linster » Sat Oct 20, 2012 5:40 pm

I think I have always know that God will forgive me for my mistakes but I have such a hard time forgiving myself. I bet 90% of my angst comes from my own guilt and self loathing. I am familiar with "let go and let god" but what I do is let it go take it back then try to let it go again then take it back again see the pattern. I know I suffer from low self esteem and lack of confidence maybe that is why I so stubbornly hang onto my guilt, to punish myself. Well something to ponder anyway. Thank you again to every one who is watching me and praying for me.

Linster, How do you know you are forgiven ? You know it by the Word of God. You have no problem believing what it says about forgiveness. How or better yet, Why cant you believe what He says about you. 2 Cor 5:21 God made Him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we (linster) might become the righteousness of God. When you recieved forgiveness, You also recieved righteousness (right standing) and to be more exact THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.If I were to tell you something important and truthful and you said I cant believe you , it would hurt my feelings. Same with God. Faith is simply believing what God has said. My friend, God is no liar, you believe Him about forgiveness, believe Him about making us righteous. TRUST HIS WORDS. Phil 1:6 being confident (trusting what He says) of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to COMPLETION until the day of Christ Jesus I'm praying for You. GBU Jimf
