I need help

Postby Goodykos » Fri Jun 10, 2011 4:20 pm

I have done something real bad recently, I lost two friends because of my selfish and stupid behavior. I used to date this girl and she broke up with me and started going out with my best friend. That really hurt me. For over a year or so I have lived with it until I hit a boiling point. Last night, I IM both of them and cussed them out. Where is God at? How could he have let me fall this far? Have I gone too far to receive his forgiveness and should I just give up and how can I make it up to them? I am so confused right now, and I know its all my fault, I did this to myself, but where can I go on from here?

We all make mistakes when we are hurting and do not know how to make it go away. I think praying and talking to God about it and yes....saying you are sorry and ask for forgiveness is best. Always , when you are hurting and want to react, stop and pray first...God will guide you if you let HIM. When that is done...dont feel guilty about it anymore. God is good to forgive. *BigGrin*

No, you are not gone to far to receive his forgiveness..... You just made a mistake and thats the truth, we all do, but Just ask them to forgive you and move on.....I have been in your boat, and I have made things really bad, to the point that I lost friends, and there is nothing you can do to get them back no matter how hard you try....

You lost your cool, all we can both do is Learn from it, and be more loving and understanding in the future. We can't control others, but we can control ourselves.

Hey Goodykos

First and foremost please allow me to welcome you to the Oasis . You are in the right place , and please let me to also let you know that no one here gets here by mistake , in fact nothing happens in God's world by mistake , that applies to your question of "How can God allow me to do such things" !! Well , obviously He wants you to learn something and grow in Him ?
It sure is a tough situation to be in when we see the girl we dated with someone else , and it is very normal to "loose" our cool , and say or do things we would regret later (as your case is) . As far as Him forgiving you ? Piece a cake ! I would not even fret about it a bit (in fact he probly be laughing about it) and also , in fact , He is VERY pleased by the action(s) you're taking right now , whether they be realizing , and most important admitting your wrong and wanting to do something about it ... Hey , that is EXACTLY what He wants you to learn ... and then move on ...

These 14 day steps will help you find just that .. a path to forgiveness and re-establishing your relation with Him . As to what will happen with your x-date and your "friend" ? Well ... let them worry about that right now , you just see to it that your relationship with HIM is right , then all these things shall come to pass .

There will be others that will come along and offer you the help you need , in the meanwhile ... stay calm and don't worry about God's forgiveness ... He has already done that !!!

Luv ya
In Christ , our Lord

Now, for all your questions...no you can never fall too far that God can't pick you back up. He loves you dearly...despite anything you could ever do. He will forgive you, if you will ask Him to with a truly repentant heart. He wants to bring you to have a relationship with Him...and to grow closer to you. I know you feel confused...and that's just what Satan wants, but don't you dare give up...you fight and reach for God...one small step at a time hun...no matter what it takes.

Also, you need an outlet. You need to not be so lonely. One of the best ways to not be lonely is to help others. Is there someone you could help? Has your mom been asking you to visit her and maybe do something for her around the house? Could you sign up for something at your church. Loneliness needs to be filled. It doesn't go away from brooding on it. New thoughts need to come, and new activities and new people.

God bless you.
Hugs,
Dema
