Upon reading Malachi

I don't know , maybe I am writing this for myself to read from time to time , or everytime I visit this forum (which is everyday) , with the hope that others may benefit from it as well .

Just got done reading Malachi , which deals with , in short , well , relapse .
We know the story , Nehemiah , gets permission from the Persians to rebuild the wall in Jerusalem , he builds it and returns to Persia , and now the people are going "The cat's away .. let us play" game right ?
So , "falling" back , or backsliding , without realizing it , the initial guilts , self-disappointments or what have you intensifies right ? We go even deeper into despair .

God ALWAYS Loves us ! That should be the end of subject , if , that is we would only remember it , He Loves us -No Matter what - . God's love for the people of Jerusalem and to us cannot be explained . God knows the depth of our sins ; He KNOWS how weak we are , yet , He LOVES us anyway . There is nothing we can do to loose this Love that we never deserved in the first place . God's Love HAS the Power to heal the broken places in our lives ; our failures , relapses , and defenses cannot stop God from wanting to heal us . This fact should give us Hope for recovery , no matter how terrible our past sins and failures .
Forgiveness is the foundation ; The way of forgiveness always leads us on the path back to a relationship with God . God wants us not only to receive His forgiveness , but also to be forgiving people , passing on to others what had freely been given us . If we can receive God's forgiveness and grant forgiveness to others , we will have laid a solid foundation for lasting recovery .
God wants us to turn to HIM for healing and forgiveness (and NOT say I should be the one doing it) . He was patient for hundred of years with the people of Israel in SPITE of their sins . He is just as patient with US now .

In Christ , our Lord
