sending you some love and caring and hope, Sister Whitley >

"hopes all things" (in 1 Corinthians 13:7)
not giving up . . . being stubborn in
this way
I'm thinking of how the prayer Jesus taught us starts with
"Our Father" >
the attention of prayer does not begin with our sins and our failures
or trying to get God to solve our troubles.
So, first we need to overcome how *in* us we can give in
to letting problems get us and our attention away from You, LORD.
"Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good."
(Romans 12:21)
This, I am finding, mainly means *in* me not to allow evil to decide how I am, if I am forgiving or not, if I have hope or not; or . . . we know what evil will decide, don't we
And with God we can overcome any evil, at all, especially by not letting evil effect us the way Satan wants to make us weak so he can then control us.
But in Your grace, we are ruled by Your own peace sweetly soothing us, blessing and caressing us, and we are humbly knowing only You can straighten out anybody really right.
I can not straighten out anyone as well as You can
So, I need to submit to You, for how only You can correct and heal and transform any person to become how You have us becoming in Your own love > Romans 5:5, 1 John 4:17-18.
