Well, Leaps Madre . . . the prayer Jesus taught us starts with "Our Father" . . .
not with solving our problems
So . . . as well as you can . . . right now, we can be quiet with God and enjoy His presence and kindness and sweet rest . . . then deal with it.
I'm thinking > you have adopted those stepchildren with your love.
Now you can adopt this "wife" who may be just a little girl
who is clueless what she is doing, and now is on the way to being
in the same situation you are now in. And may be you one day will
be able to say, "I've been there, too," and help her like a sister.
So, possibly it is good to be encouraged and start fresh with God, now >
"casting all your care upon Him,
for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)
When David and his men lost their families and possessions >
consider how he handled that >
they
"wept, until they had no more power to weep."
(full-grown men who included mighty warriors > in 1 Samuel 30:4 >
bawling their eyes out)
And
"the people spoke of stoning" David > in 1 Samuel 30:6.
Nice situation. But crying and talking about stoning David did not work.
What did work? >
"But David strengthened himself in the LORD His God." (in 1 Samuel 30:6) And then he got with someone reliable and together they checked with God about what to do. And it worked, because David obeyed.
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,
to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .(Colossians 3:15)
"'In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,
because you have obeyed My voice.'" (Genesis 22:18)
This is speaking of Abraham. Abraham's obedience did not just get himself blessed. This is not just about you, Leaps Madre > your obeying God in this can do good for a lot of other people.
