step 4

Postby whitefuneral » Mon Jan 21, 2013 2:16 pm

I know that I have used words in almost the same way that I used people ,drugs and everthing else in my life. This makes it difficult for me to journal or even talk to others.
in reading step 4 and attempting to take it in,as if for the first time,I find this impossible to do. As a result ; I am going to pray instead :

LORD, YOU know everything about me - My multitude of transgressions that I cannot forgive myself for. If there are aspects of this process that I am simply not getting ( and there must be so many ) , I pray with ALL MY HEART that you will make them apparent to me , so that I can finally escape the prison that I am in and move to a place where I can be of use to you ...

AMEN ...

It sounds like the steps are bringing out more than you can deal with right now. And that is ok. If you get one thing from the day that you can apply to your life and situation then it's worth it. You can redue the steps that were a bit over whelming and take just chunks out of your problem as you grow. We don't expect you to have arrived at being able to deal with everything in one day or even 15 days. I did my first cccc about 3 years ago. No longer than that. And I'm still working on things. It just takes time. How long doesn't matter. We are looking for quality not quantity.

Leaving you with this thought...you are just where He expected you to be and you are just where He needs you. You are sufficient. His grace is sufficient.
