Day 1
I decided to do a journal online for many reasons, but I need to have a place to share. I am struggling with submission to my husband in many things, but also in obedience to God which may be against what my husband will think is submission. We are struggling with discipline with our children, especially my 9 year old son. I am struggling with patience, anger issues and self control - basically it is the same for my son, so I know where he is getting those issues. I need help from God and prayer for me to change - to get God's Word in my heart, to stop and use God's wisdom before speaking, to remove the anger I have for my husband who seems to not want to address any of the issues we are having with our son and with our marriage. The main issue is our communication - which is basically non-existent - except to run the family. I do not like what has happened to my home and my family. God is with me, but is testing my faith to see if I will surrender fully to Him. I know this, yet I still struggle with so many things.
I am hoping this counseling will help me work through many issues and build my faith and cast out my unbelief.

Hello quinnterri,
Welcome to the what is in my opinion the BEST Christian website on the net, for mainly 2 reasons first it is full of Go's love and knowledge and second there is no better group of Christians to pray for and with as well as lift you and not judge you.
Which is why I never searched any farther once I came here, I was looking for counseling when I stumbled into the Oasis and fell into the most wonderful group of brothers and sisters in Christ that I have EVER had.
Are you looking into the counseling pages, there are an abundance of pages that cover just about anything and anger is there, take the time and look around and I'm sure others will be in to welcome you
Prayers were said for you and your family
welcome home.

Welcome to Oasis!
Struggling is not fun! But in end results we learn from our struggles, unless we stay in the struggle fighting without getting above the situation and looking into with His eyes.
Do an inventory on what triggers your frustrations and anger. Start to take notice of the onset of these feelings and examine them with the Holy Spirit and ask for guidance and Truth. Seek what it is that is bothering you or causing you to act in that manner at that specific time. Write it down. Examine it. Hold it to truth and look at it from a third person, from the eyes of God. IS ther anything you can change about this situation that has bothered you? IS there anything I can change about myself to control these feelings? Does my heart need to be softened towards this situation? This situation is this situation, I am the one who is having the "problem" with it. Make a point to change whatever you can on yr power to change the outcome of these situations according to His will, not ours, and accept the things that you cannot change and Trust Him that He has it under control.
Easier said then done, but it works if you work it.
Love ya!
God bless us all
