Postby SeekingGod » Wed Dec 28, 2011 12:08 am

unfortunatly my laptop died and i was unable to obtain another until tonight. the first thing i did was come here though. do day 9, it seems to me that there are many habits in my life that i need to change and people that i should definitly think twice about hanging out with and even speaking to at all. but i will begin to do my chart and begin the small and large changes i will choose to be a better person. a question i must pose to anyone who can answer. if the people that are being Ungodly and are treating both Becky my wife to be and myself in a horrible and sinful way...what is the answer to what to do about that...do i cut them out? i pray for them already and at the moment i am not talking to them. i dont know what to do about them is all the day my father...hit me and threw me against an AC unit is still bunred in to my mind, i have already forgiven them but i do not want to be in that situation again let alone put Becky in that position either...what is teh Godly and Biblical answer to this? thank you. please continue praying for me i appreciate it and i know i can do this. God bless all of you and have a good night.

*Wave* Hello seeking ,

We are never told to "stay away from the ungodly", after all, we all start off as ungodly before we know Jesus.

We are only reminded that we are in the world, not of it (John 17:16). Jesus actually commanded us to go into the whole world and preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15). That involves a lot of contact with the "ungodly."

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

As far as putting yourself and your spouse in harms way to just be beat up on.... that's a diff story there. As her husband you are to protect your precious gift from God. *Halo*
Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; 26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.

I hope i answered your question *AngelYellow*

God bless
♥Jill
♥♥I strive to love others as Christ loves me... Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God therefore as dearly loved children and live a life of love...♥♥

Hello SeekingGod :)

God bless you this day.

Here is a link to a blessed Study (it may even be the very same study you've read within the CCCC 14 Day Study), but just in case...here is the link: http://www.christianityoasis.com/keywor ... eStudy.htm

When Christians first begin their walk with Christ, it takes a while to grow in our understanding of God, His Word and the lessens we need to learn. But, The Holy Spirit is right there with us to help us and to guide us into all Truth. Thank You Lord!!! Sometimes the growing includes growing in our strength to withstand and resist temptations that come from the enemy of our soul, and satan will often use our non-Christian friends and family members to tempt us -- or to "sift us like wheat." Sometimes it does require we separate ourselves from their influence until we grow stronger in our faith, and then, once we are well grounded and "converted" we can then approach them in the power, love and strength of God, given us by our Lord, to witness to them.

Luke 22:31-32 (Jesus speaking to Peter) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: (32) But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Prayers are rising to our Lord in the name of Jesus, on your behalf. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you, SeekingGod.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack
