Delicate danty Day 4

Postby dantyriverside » Mon Jun 27, 2011 1:20 am

Forgiveness Boy, did this lesson come at a good time. First, I have to say we have an awesome God. He knew what I needed before I needed to hear it. In the lesson I am supposed to think of someone that I said I have forgiven and truely haven't. That one was easy. I let my son use my atm card to go buy dog food last week.(before I even decided to even do the steps or the counseling journals.) He took my card and spent $15.00 more without asking. I had it, so my account was not overdrawn but, it left me in a tight for the rest of the month. He said he was sorry and I said ok but that "I WOULD NEVER TRUST HIM WITH MY CARD AGAIN!" I meant it. I said ok when he said he was sorry . But I had fire in my heart and I wanted him to feel as hurt as I did. I wanted the guilt to eat at him. I wanted him to feel shame. All the things that I am now ashamed of. After our lesson talking about how would I feel if I was outside my child's room how would I feel, I cried. I let money cause me to hold hard feeling against my child. He knows better and I don't think he will ever do it again. So I forgive him and I will forget it, let him pay me back and never speak of it again. I learned all of this because of the lesson we had today. How awesome is God! There are so many things I am working on forgiving myself about. But, I have come to realize thru everyone's love and support, that there are things we all are trying to forgive ourselves for. Please continue to pray for me as I work on this. I am gonna keep pulling my weeds and working my garden. This Cinderella needs your prayers to get her crown. Thank you *Halo* *JesusSign*

God truly is amazing :) He knows us ohhh so well, but am so thankful he cares that much even in the smallest of details which could lead to big messes without His nudging. *JesusSign* He rules!

I am thrilled to see the Holy Spirit working in you :) And as I watch Him work through you, He works through me . He is cool like dat.

I must say that forgiving ourselves is one of the hardest things i HAD to do. We often let our mistakes, self hatred and unforgiveness come in between ourself and our Father. I HAD to do it whether i felt like it or not . Once i started the proces of telling myself that i forgive myself God started to work and remind me why i should. We are His creation, He did not give up HIs son for us to go around and keep putting this blocked wall up between us and HIM. And in esence that is exactly what we end up doing when we hold onto unforgiveness. *Pray*

I think He is doing wonderfully in you and you are doing an awesome job of submitting to His Spirit!

God bless you will be in my prayers as you continue to do these steps. *Pray*

((((((((Danty))))))))) you experienced something I keep seeing as well; how whenever we read the lessons they are exactly what we needed at that moment ... God's timing is perfect! He already knew just when you needed to read about forgiveness and was working in your heart with that illustration about the child and how it applied to your son. Well done for taking up the lead God gave and following with it *hug5* Praying for you :)

I know exactly what you mean. I lost my temper more than once with my kids...especially when they did something that i had done. Was I angry with them and unforgiving of what they did or was I really just putting the way I felt about myself on them?
It is hard...if forgiving was easy Jesus would not have spent so much time speaking of its importance and why WE need to be forgiving. Now forgive yourself all the things you need to :)
