Step 4
Wow, what a powerful step...took me places I woulda never have thought!!! Brought me face to face with something I had never dealt with on the deepest levels, and made it clear that I have to forgive my wife for things that have happened since we separated, if I am ever to hope for forgiveness from her. Or no forgiveness from her, doesn't matter. Again I was reminded of a reality that had given me some level of freedom from guilt before...that "if God forgives me, who am I to not forgive me?" And as Tam suggested, I need to keep tellin myself that "I forgive Me!"
I want to again thank you'nz for your support.

if God forgives me, who am I to not forgive me?
Amen. And we cannot give out what we do not have ourselves. So if we are unforgiving towards ourselves, it may very well affect how we are able to be merciful and forgiving towards others.
So its kinda like a lil trickle down effect. God forgives us, we accept His Grace and are able to forgive ourselves knowing that Jesus died on the cross to make it possible for us to be forgiven, and then we extend the same to others as He commanded of us, knowing that we too are but sinners saved by Grace.

Hey wonderfilled...ya know I think one of the most difficult things to do is to forgive someone that has hurt us deeply...but it is a MUST. All those things you've been holding on to...allowing unforgiveness towards your ex...and not wanting to let it go....Time to lay them at the Cross...Jesus wants to take them out of your hands...and He wants you to leave them there and not pick them up again. Now be aware that this may not happen the first time you lay them down...cuz often we will go and pick them up again...but you just need to continually lay all these things back at the cross each time you see yourself picking them up...and eventually you WILL leave them there for good.
Keep moving forward wonderfilled one....your doing well.

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
