question?
Ok so my boyfriends dad passed away te other night and I love my boyfriend to death and I know he's having a hard time dealing with this him and his dad was really close the problem is my car broke down and he's 30 miles away so I can't be there for him and I feel that I should be I need some ideas how I can help him without being there I wrote him a poem but I just don't feel that's enough or if he even liked it
Dad
You taught me words to live by
Some I never will forget
You taught me how to stand my ground
And never will I quit
You taught me things I need in life
And taught me how to grow
You made life much easier
With the things I needed to know
You taught me how to drive a car
And how to speak to women
You taught me how to give respect
Even when they don't deserve it
You taught how to work and play
To enjoy life every day
Though its hard without you here I know I'll be okay cause my dad you'll always be and in my heart you will remain

Re: question?
I hope you have told your boyfriend clearly that if he can get you a ride, then you will be there with him. I know that sometimes there is just no way of getting from here to there - and Texas is a big place with a lot of lonely spots in between. Please, be clear with your boyfriend about what you would do if you could - and if he offers to get you there - then you need to follow through.
Hugs,

Re: question?
Are you able to text him?
You might just text him saying, "I'm thinking of you, praying for you and my heart is breaking for you."
Stuff like that. Not often. Maybe three times in a day. Or leave a voice mail otherwise.
Hugs. I hope it works out for you.
Also, you might send an old-fashioned greeting card. You can go to Dollar General and get a nice one. And send it snail mail. Something that says what you feel about how sorry you are for his loss.
