their spirits are soaring free
they dance and laugh and run
that is the way children ought to be
they no not the evil about to come

they ate the 'special' candy so sweet
they are silenced and still
no laughing and dancing only deceit
now evil can do its will

arms that will never give or get hugs again

eyes that will never see all that is wonder again

a voice that will never laugh again

privates that will never know the joy of making love

a tummy that will never eat 'good' candy again
or even know the joy of a baby

and a heart that will never know love again

all they wanted was to laugh and play
but their bodies were torn and abused
because they were all led astray
and now they are piled in the cave all used

but wait above there is a place so bright
and from under the dirt, blood and debris
they rose up and became Angels of Light
and once again their spirits are soaring free
