The Farmer and the Cream

Postby Shan » Wed Mar 20, 2013 7:57 pm

Well, you were right Miss Kimberely...the farmer doesn't leave the cream on! I didn't even think to ask cause I'm green in raw milk usage. So...there I am so excited about seeing the cream line on my milk, waiting...waiting...and well it never appeared. We made lots of yogurt instead. rofl

I paid $8.50 for the gallon of milk plus $57 to share a cow to get that cream I thought I was getting. We decided I'll just make butter from whipping cream from walmart, a lot cheaper then what the farmer charges for his cream (11.50/qt) and we'll keep buying store bought milk until we get our goats.

Well, this is one of the many times I wish I was wrong, lol. whipping cream from wal-mart is still a smart choice though. :)

When I think of goats, I think of....soap. One of the best soaps I ever had was made from goats milk. :)
