"Indescribable" ~ Chris Tomlin ~

Indescribable
Chris Tomlin

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i first heard this song it was at a christian camp when i was about 11 the night before i heard there had been some lightning a few kilometres away but it was a really clear night and no rain. We had planned to do a burma trail but cancelled it in case it rained. We played spotlight instead. so i was lying on my back with my friend for ages just watching the lightning. It was absolutely amazing. Most of it was bolt lightning, each with its own different pattern, but now and then a sheet of klightning would pass, lighting up the whole sky, and getting any unfortunate person who happened to be running to hide at the time out in our game of spotlight. The next day in devotions when i heard the song, i nearly cried. the line that struck me the most was "who has told every lightning bolt where it should go" because of the lightning.
Don't cry because its over.
Smile because it happened.

This is one of my favorite songs....i remember when i was 12 and first heard this song. It was written by Laura Story...
The original version replaces "You are amazing God" with "you are a very big God" and then after the second verse it says " Holy Holy Holy, Lord God Almighty, Early in the morning, our song shall rise to thee"

She has been an inspiration to me and her aunt and uncle are awesome bosses!!!!
