God is Calling Bible Quest

Before we begin today ... A little reminder. Being called by God to serve does not require one to be anything other than willing. Never forget that it is God who chooses who is called by God to serve. The shoe either fits or it does not, Cinderella. Others and even we ourselves can believe that we are unworthy, but God sees within us not what we are now, but what we can become ...

Remember ... God chooses those who the world finds unworthy.

1 Corinthians 1:26-28

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

Let me ask you a few God is Calling questions ...

What if you could change your life and find what your purpose was? What if you could find and use awesome spiritual gifts that are within you? What if you could use these spiritual gifts to change other people's lives for the better? How would you like to do that ... For God?

If the answer is yes ... You may have been called by God to serve!

Do you believe in coincidence? Do you think that things just happen by luck or chance? Or do you believe that everything happens for a reason? What if you were led to Christianity Oasis by God so that you would find this Many Called Few Chosen path because you have been called by God to serve, right now, at this very time in your life, and God has a plan for you to do amazing things for Him and His cause! What if it is true and you are called by God to serve?

You have a great opportunity before you.

Do you believe that you have been called by God and can make a difference in the world?

God Does !!!

God is Calling Reminder ... The Bible is clear that God calls many to represent Him. But, remember, the Bible also says that few of those called are actually chosen to serve Him.

Matthew 22:14

For many are called, but few are chosen.

God's Calling Bible Faith
Are You Called by God to Serve Him?

Do you remember what we found out in the Bible about why so few people are chosen?

Because few choose to represent Him! They get all caught up in the worldly things that are going on and choose that instead. God made it clear in the Bible that He would be putting His Spirit (that is the Holy Spirit) in all people and they would do great things for Him.

Acts 2:17-18

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

God promised that he was going to give people the opportunity to represent Him. It is up to you as to what you will choose to do with your calling. God will pour out His Spirit on people and they will be given special "powers" ... These powers are called Spiritual Gifts!

Are you one of these sons and daughters who is called by God to serve? Most people in the Bible whether they were young or old ... never thought that they would be called. But, they were and they did awesome works by showing God's Glory in their words and works.

Remember !!!

With God, those things which we deem as impossible are possible with God.

Luke 18:27

And He said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

We need only believe:

Mark 9:23

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Maybe you're thinking, Wow, I'm nobody important, what could I possibly do?

Did you know that the prophet Jeremiah was just a child when God chose him to be a prophet?

Check this God is Calling Scripture out:

Jeremiah 1:5-7

5 [God told Jeremiah] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I [Jeremiah], Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Did you catch that?

Before we were even born, God knew who He was going to call. So, being called by God to serve is predestined and being called by God to serve is a privilege. The next generation of Christian soldiers is called to fight the good fight of faith and to represent. This world is at war with an invisible enemy called the devil, who is out to capture as many souls as he can:

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Just take a look around you and you can see the devil's work in action ...

It's only getting worse and worse.

God's Calling Bible Warning
Called by God to Serve Concern

This invisible enemy of our soul likes to use our thoughts which cause our emotions to react against us. You know, anger, jealousy, greed, hate, fear, lust, doubt, pride ... All kinds of ugly things that mankind has a real tough time fighting against ... He is winning a lot of souls over because few choose to fight. Most choose to surrender and follow the worldly trends.

My friend, it is your duty as a Christian soldier not to surrender. It is also your job to protect and defend others who are caught up in his web of lies. If you are called by God to serve, God is counting on you. We will be talking about some very serious topics while our friendship grows.

One thing ... It's not always what people want to hear, but a true friend knows that even though the Truth may hurt sometimes, it is the only choice if you want a strong friendship.

Proverbs 27:6

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

In other words, a true friend will always tell the Truth, even though it may hurt. Someone telling you what you want to hear may make you feel better, but it will hurt worse than the Truth did, in the end.

God is Calling Tidbit of Truth ... This is the first Truth that I share with you as your new friend:

You must increase your Faith. Faith can move mountains.

Matthew 17:20

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Think about what Jesus just promised for a second ...

If we have Faith we can move mountains!

Cool huh? Jesus is saying that if you have even a little genuine Faith, that you could say to a mountain, move from here to over there, and it would. In other words, Jesus is saying that with Faith ... Nothing is impossible for Him to do through you, which means ... Anything is possible!

But, what is Faith?

Faith ... Means to believe something with all your mind and heart. It is also hope in the unseen:

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

So, our Lord Jesus is saying that if we believe anything that you can imagine, it can happen. Despite whether it is seen or unseen. Despite whether it seems possible or not. The essential ingredient is belief ... Faith. We must believe that He can and will. It is not that we can or will, but rather that HE can or will perform anything through us any time and any place.

Again ... belief is like a flowing river. Picture a flowing river in your mind. Imagine throwing a leaf into that flowing river, what is going to happen? You guessed it, the leaf will flow the same way the river is flowing. It does not matter what you throw into the river of faith. It operates the same way a real river does. Whether your beliefs are good, bad, happy, sad, evil, righteous, positive or negative ... They will come to life with just a wee amount of belief.

So, doing the simple spiritual math ...

What you believe ... You receive.

Matthew 21:22

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

God is Calling Point of Interest ... Lots of lost and hurting souls need our help out there, and the world is a big place. Neither one of us can do this alone, but my friend, as a team, we can do it together.

Matthew 18:19-20

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

God's Calling Bible Vow
Have You Been Called by God to Serve

So, let's see if we understand this correctly.

Jesus promised that if we ourselves and another Christian agree on a matter, that we can ask anything in His name and it will be done if we believe in accord. It sounds like a miracle, does it not? My new friend, are you ready for God to work some miracles through you? By taking part in this Called by God to serve step, you are making a choice. You are taking a leap of Faith.

God is Calling trivia ... Are you a tiny bit scared? You are supposed to feel that because you know that you could never do it alone. That means you must trust Jesus to help you! Learn the truth about that feeling it is not fear, it is called dependence and God is waiting for you to reach out for His hand as to become dependent upon His Holy Spirit. If you ever feel like you have got it all under control and that you can conquer anything alone ... That is when you have let go of God's hand.

That is when we begin to sink as Peter did when he saw the raging waters.

Matthew 14:28-31

28 And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

So, we must kick doubt to the curb:

Mark 11:22-24

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Called by God to Serve Choice

Choice is something that God gives to each of us. It is called free will.

Click below if you would like to learn more about free will before continuing today's step.

God's Calling Bible Privilege - Called by God to Serve With Hope

We are free to do whatever we will. Your choice to be a Christian is the most important choice of your life as you will represent Jesus. As your friend, I'll tell you the truth ... Many people in your life may not agree with the choice that you have made to represent Christ.

Being a Christian, you bear His name. You are different, because the world is heading in a very different direction than the direction that leads to God, and they will try over and over to tell you that everybody is doing this, or everybody is doing that, so their way must be right, and you must be wrong. My friend, you are not everybody else. And you are not wrong. You are different. You are special ... You have been called by God to serve.

Yes, it is painfully obvious that God is calling is for all Christians, but few in comparison will choose to answer the call. If you choose to answer your calling, you will begin not to follow the sheep to the slaughter, so to speak. You will obtain and maintain the faith that it takes to lead instead of follow. Your faith will steadily increase, you will recognize what is right and wrong much easier and quicker and you will choose to react properly. You will want to live the Way, that Jesus taught us to live:

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

So ... What's this God is Calling program all about? It's about building your Christian character. It's about gaining wisdom and knowledge that will enhance your Faith. It's about strengthening your armor against the enemy, the devil. It's about living the Way, the Truth, and the Life, that is taught to us by our Savior Jesus Christ, and sharing the light of what you learn with others, who will in turn share it with still others. This program is about building an army of Christian soldiers for God, to defend the Faith and represent the Lord in a world that is quickly becoming faithless. It is about reaching out to other people and making a difference in their lives, for the Glory of God!

Have you ever heard of the ripple effect? It's where you throw a stone into the water, which causes a ripple, which causes more ripples, which causes more and more and more, spreading out wider and wider and wider, until the whole pool is filled with ripples! You can be a stone, and make it happen for God! You'll change a few lives, and they'll each change a few, and so on and so on ... Here's a picture that will give you an idea of this ripple effect.

By choosing to represent Jesus Christ, you choose to share the essence of Jesus through you with others, because you are one with Him. People see Him in you ... In the things you do, the way you act, the way you talk, the way you live. Your words and deeds will be like His because you were made in His image and you chose to reflect that. Jesus told us that it is our duty to be doing this as you will find out in just a moment. There is a God is Calling story that Jesus told, that I'd like to share with you. After the story, we will talk about the message that is within it.

The Parable of the Talents

Matthew 25:14-30

14 For the Kingdom of Heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

God's Calling Bible Parables
Called by God to Serve Others

Wow ... Okay now I know that it may be a little hard to understand what Jesus was saying but that was His intent. He spoke in parables. These Parables are short stories that Jesus used to show us how we should live our lives. But why? Why did Jesus speak in parables? That is exactly what the Apostles asked Jesus and this is what He said.

Matthew 13:10-11

10 And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not given.

In this particular God is Calling parable that we just looked at ... We are the servants of the Lord. The talents in this story represent money, but Jesus was using talents to symbolize the spiritual gifts given to us by God to represent Him. If we choose to use those gifts to help His lost children find Truth, we are blessed with more spiritual rewards.

We can not choose to be as the ostrich and stick our head in the sand proclaiming ... "I've got mine."

If we choose not to use these gifts as to glorify Him and bring in His sheep, we lose all that He gave us. Oh yeah ... And this part where Jesus said:

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Choosing to do nothing ... Is also a choice.

Please ponder on that.

But, we need not worry about this because we are called by God to serve Him. We have an exciting adventure ahead of us. As you build your faith, your character and your integrity as a Christian, you are really taking your talents, and glorifying the Lord. Others will see the results in your life and as you share your faith with them, you are leading people to the Lord. You will find that God will begin putting you in situations where others need you to help them grow in their faith, and then my friend ... He whom you represent, will bless you abundantly!

God is Calling Time Out ... Today is the first day of the rest of your life. As people get older, they tend to get set in their ways and it becomes difficult for them to change their beliefs and habits even if they are wrong. As the saying goes, "It is hard for a leopard to change it's spots." But, you ... Being called by God to serve Him, have the opportunity to repaint your spots wherever and whenever you like. If you choose Truth, just think of all the future heartache you can save yourself from.

God is Calling Danger Ahead Sign ... As I said before, my friend, many people will want to discourage you, because they would prefer you spend your time serving them or their ego. Many people may be jealous, because they don't have the will power to do what you are going to do. Just ask yourself when people disagree with your choice. Do I want to please these people, or do I want to please God? It is not the popular thing to do. It is different. You are different. You are called by God to serve Him and you choose to be chosen. They may reject you. Do not surrender. Jesus said:

Matthew 5:10-12

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in Heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

It is a shame game. Don't be ashamed to stand up for your beliefs.

Matthew 10:32-33

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in Heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in Heaven.

In other words, the way you represent Christ, is the way He will represent you, before God! Stand up for Him and He will stand up for you. If you feel you have been called by God to Serve Him. Best try to. Because remember what Jesus said:

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

You can't please them all so you may as well please the Lord.

Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The times we live in are changing rapidly. Unfortunately, as technology is increasing, so is the wickedness and evil in the world. The End Times are very near. Who will be the leaders of the future? Who will represent the Lord? The answer is ... You! Jesus is counting on you to carry on His Light into the world of great darkness.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Do you truly believe that you are being called by God to serve?

If so, being called by God to serve requires effort because that is one of the most important administrations known to man because you are reaching for God's lost children.
