Time, Times and Half a Time Meaning

Three and a Half Years of Doom and Gloom

Welcome to our Christianity Oasis Left Behind Bible study program. This is our extremely essential, exciting and electrifying ... 42 Months in the Bible study taking an extensive look into the three and a half years prophecy in the book of Revelation. A period of time also known as the time, times and half a Time of the End Times Tribulation and how it affects the Christian walk then and now.

42 Months in the Bible Adventure or Torment

Let us begin, shall we? It is great to see that you have ventured this far. Make sure you check the Scripture that is being shared in this Time, Times and Half A Time study as to confirm the Truth. As you have learned, the 42 months in the Bible that we will be talking about are the same three and a half years in End Times prophecy. The Book of Revelation simply calls this time period by different names. Here are some examples:

Revelation 11:2-3

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Revelation 12:6

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 12:14

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Revelation 13:5

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

The Time, Times and Half a Time Warning

Let's say that you have confirmed the Truth and you realize that there at least may be Christians on earth during the End Times as to replenish the Earth as it is written and let's say that you were chosen as one to stay behind for whatever reason God saw fit and let's say that you are living during the three and a half years of being hidden in the wilderness to be tested to be sure you are worthy. Once three and a half years has passed, everyone will no doubt be anxious to come out of hiding. However ... There's a little longer than a Time, times and half a time though until it's safe to come out. The book of Daniel explains this quite well:

Daniel 12:9-13

9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

42 Months Timeline
Three and a Half Years Nightmare

Let us see if we understand this ... There are 1260 days of Antichrist's reign of terror, but what is the 1290 days all about, and why do Christians have to wait until 1335 days have passed before they come out of hiding?

The extra 30 days from 1260 to 1290 is the 30 days that God will punish Antichrist and his followers during the 7 Vials.

But why wait until 1335 days to come out?

42 Months in the Bible Trivia Time ... Because the Vials of God's wrath that are poured out upon the unbelievers during the 30 days after the 42 Months, cause much damage and the earth will need to rest, so you'll want to stay put for 45 additional days, and not come out of hiding until the 1335 days are completed. There may be harmful radiation or other hazardous conditions that God knows will need time to settle, or perhaps there are other unknown reasons why God gave this warning to Daniel.

If there was any nuclear activity there may be time required before it's safe in the outside environment for people to survive. You will have to keep track of the days somehow, whether it be to draw lines on the wall of the cave with a pocket knife or some other permanent method of keeping a record. You will also know by events that take place during the three and a half years. Of course each Christian camp will have designated leaders by God and the best advice is to listen to them.

There is yet another reason why there are 75 extra days after the three and a half years years to stay hidden. It is a reflection of a previous event that took place a long time ago, called Hanukkah. You can read about this in the Feast Shadows study and see the fascinating way that God used celebrations as prophecy of future events.

The day that Christians come out after the Time, times and half a time and then after the seventy five days will be the same day the Jewish people celebrated their freedom from Antiochus. This Antiochus is the one who has been brought back to life as Antichrist.

Very fitting wouldn't you say? God had all of this planned out. If you're chosen to be left behind, you may find yourself asking that infamous question ... Why, God?

42 Months Prophecy of Three and a Half Years In Hiding

Did you know that Moses asked the same question when God chose him to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt? God replied to Moses that it was because He began His Old Covenant with the children of Israel to give them the Promised Land, and He intended to bring them back to it. Does it surprise you that with the New Covenant being in effect now, that after the End Times, God will bring all of us, His children, back to the Promised Land too? You'll be learning more about that later in our 42 months in the Bible study.

Maybe God has chosen you as one of the meek that shall inherit the earth. Don't get confused about the word 'meek' when you read about who will be left behind.

Meek does not mean weak.

Psalms 37:11

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Numbers 12:3

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Matthew 11:29

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Wouldn't it be an honor to consider yourself meek?

If you still believe that all Christians are Raptured, I ask you this ... Do all Christians go to Heaven and receive celestial bodies only to be returned to the earth and placed back in physical bodies during the 1000 year Millennium as to fulfill the scripture that the meek shall inherit the earth?

Not hardly. Once you are in Heaven ... You are home.

42 Months in the Bible Tidbit of Truth Truth ... The only reason one would want to come back to earth would be to choose to leave your Heavenly home like the fallen angels did, to be able to experience carnal pleasures.
