God's Promise

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him.

But, God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

And this is the Promise that he hath promised us, even Eternal Life.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began ...

The Lord is not slack concerning his Promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

¹ Let us therefore fear, lest, a PROMISE being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
² For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
³ For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
⁴ For he spake in a certain place of the Seventh Day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
⁵ And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
⁶ Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
⁷ Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
⁹ There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
¹⁰ For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.

But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that Believe.

¹⁷ Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the Heirs of the Promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
¹⁸ That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the Hope set before us ...

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour ...

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

¹² Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which IS to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
¹³ But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer ...

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience ...

³ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
⁴ Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall Tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴ For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
⁵ And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
⁶ If they shall fall Away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

²⁰ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
²¹ For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
²² But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
