Welcome to our Christianity Oasis Christian Walk Bible study program. This is our absolutely awe inspiring, Faith creating and extremely effective ... The Power of Faith and Love trek for truth taking a look into the different ways shared in the Bible to increase our Faith and hope and how the power of Faith affects you today. The very important and hope building message within will enhance your Faith life. Let's look into this together.
The Power of Faith and Love
Increase Our Faith and Hope
What is Faith? Faith is something we all wish we had more of.
Even the Apostles asked Jesus to increase their Faith:
The Apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our Faith!"
Unlike God's Grace ... Which is FREE ... Faith is something we have to work at to make perfect. Faith is not something that is effortless. Once obtained, Faith needs to be maintained.
Have you ever noticed that people who read the Bible regularly are generally stronger in Faith than those who don't? That's because day to day life, and it's trials and tribulations try to weaken this virtue within us, and reading the Bible strengthens God's Word and our Faith within us.
Faith is believing in the unseen.
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
John 20:29
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
But ... Is Faith in Jesus Enough?
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.
Mark 11:22
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have Faith in God.
Hebrews 11:6
But without Faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Romans 9:33
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Romans 5:1-2
1 Therefore being justified by Faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By
whom also we have access by Faith into this Grace wherein we stand,
and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
1 John 3:23
And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
1 John 5:10-13
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness
in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us
eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not
the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on
the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal
life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
So, We see that the power of Faith and Love is truly essential in our Christian walk but how to increase our Faith and hope is the question in the mind and heart of most because without Faith, we cannot receive the promise. Did you know that the Grace of God, that we cherish above all blessings, is only given to us through our Faith in Jesus Christ?
Why?
Because the Old Testament ... The Old Covenant with the Old Promises were attained by following the law. Sins were forgiven through sacrifice and offering. But mankind had done so much bad, that all the sacrificing in the world would not cleanse away the sin. So God replaced the Old Covenant (Old Testament) with the New Covenant (New Testament) and the new promise is this ... Jesus is the sacrifice. Believing in Jesus, cleanses away our sins, which is what Grace is all about. The new law is Faith.
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
make a new Covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house
of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their
fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of
the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I
was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the Covenant that I will make with
the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my
law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be
their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor,
and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all
know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the
LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their
sin no more.
Wait a minute!
It says, plain as day, that the Lord was speaking to the house of Israel.
Ahhhhhhh, but have Faith ... Read on!
26 For ye are all the children of God by Faith in Christ
Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ
have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond
nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in
Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and
heirs according to the promise.
And again that we as Christians were grafted into the Israel family tree.
1 I say then, Hath God cast away His people? God forbid.
For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of
Benjamin.
2 God hath not cast away His people which He foreknew. Wot
ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession
to God against Israel saying,
3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down
thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have
reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to
the image of Baal.
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a
remnant according to the election of Grace.
6 And if by Grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise
Grace is no more Grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more
Grace: otherwise work is no more work.
7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he
seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were
blinded.
8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the
spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they
should not hear;) unto this day.
9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a
trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and
bow down their back alway.
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall?
God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the
Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and
the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more
their fulness?
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the
apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which
are my flesh, and might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of
the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the
dead?
16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy:
and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou,
being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them
partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou
bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that
I might be grafted in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and
thou standest by Faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed
lest He also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on
them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou
continue in His goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief,
shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is
wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive
tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be
grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant
of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that
blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the
Gentiles be come in.
Time for the power of Faith and Love field trip ... Paul explains that we are now spiritually part of the Promise God made to His Children, cuz we are ALL His children.
His promise was echoed by Paul who was to the Gentiles (Anyone other than a Jewish person) ...
8 For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold, the days
come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house
of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their
fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of
the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I
regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the
house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws
into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to
them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and
every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me,
from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and
their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
Increase Our Faith and Hope Concern
The Power of Faith and Love Warning
If you don't believe that Christ was raised from the dead, your Faith is in vain, and you are still in your sins.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Believing in Jesus Christ and that He suffered and died for our sins, and rose again to life eternal, is the only way to receive God's Grace.
Where Does Our Faith Come From?
Faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit.
To another Faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
Faith is a fruit of the Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, Faith,
Faith comes from hearing and understanding.
So then Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
When you receive the Holy Spirit, it happens by the hearing (understanding) of Faith.
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of Faith?
All believers will receive the Holy Spirit.
(But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
If you've ever wondered if you've ever really encountered the Holy Spirit, your Faith is the evidence of it.
The Essence of Faith
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Nobody has ever seen God, but we have Faith in Him.
And the Father Himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His shape.
None of us today has ever seen Jesus either, but our Faith in Him lives. We must choose to increase our Faith and hope in order to intensify the power of Faith and love within us.
7 That the trial of your Faith, being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be
found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus
Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye
see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full
of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your Faith, even the salvation of
your souls.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by Faith, not by sight.
John 20:29
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Fantastic Faith
Faith is one of those indescribable things that we have inside of us. At times we feel it more than other times, but when our Faith is strongest, is when we feel the best. Just look at all the advantages your Faith gives you. No wonder it makes you feel wonderful.
With Faith, you can move mountains.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have Faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
All things are possible to him that believes.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Faith purifies the heart.
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by Faith.
Faith sanctifies you.
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by Faith that is in me.
Increase Our Faith Promise
Power of Faith is Belief in Jesus
We are justified by Faith.
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the Faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the Faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Faith is counted for righteousness.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you
are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of
righteousness by Faith.
Faith is the Christian's shield against the enemy of our soul. Therefore, it is wise to increase our Faith and hope to further ignite the flame of the power of Faith and love.
Above all, taking the shield of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
By Faith and patience you inherit the promises.
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through Faith and patience inherit the promises.
Our Faith overcomes the world.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Fight the Good Fight of Faith
Why is something as wonderful as Faith something we have to fight for? Because the footsteps of the world tend to follow after the devil instead of Jesus. The devil's army which carry all these weapons; evil, wickedness, trial, tribulation, temptation, and all other forms of unrighteousness are unrelenting, always ready and waiting to attack and defeat the Faith of the Christian soldiers. The evil one is so clever that he even uses science to try and dissuade the Faithful, and has been using this trick since back in the Apostle Paul's day.
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust,
avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science
falsely so called:
21 Which some professing have erred concerning the Faith.
Grace be with thee. Amen.
So, when you hear ridiculous things like the big bang theory, evolution, and the like, which are the devil's ways of trying to shake your Faith through science, don't believe them. What if they can prove these theories? Faith needs no proof, or it wouldn't be Faith. If something can be proven, there is no need to have Faith in it.
That your Faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:26-31
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many
wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to
confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are
despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to
nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in His presence.
30 But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made
unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let
him glory in the Lord.
So How Do You ... Defend Your Faith?
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of Faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Increase Our Faith Shield
Power of Faith Sword
You have other weapons that God provides to fight the good fight of Faith, too.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye
may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with
Truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel
of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of Faith, wherewith ye
shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication
for all saints;
Keep in mind that the testing of your Faith is to be expected as followers of Jesus. He was tempted, so will we be.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is Faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Philippians 1:28-30
28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is
to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and
that of God.
29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not
only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake;
30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now
hear to be in me.
James 1:2-6
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers
temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your Faith worketh
patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be
perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be
given him.
6 But let him ask in Faith, nothing wavering. For he that
wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
1 Peter 1:6-7
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if
need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your Faith, being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be
found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus
Christ.
Now we all experience trials and tribulations and we WILL fall down. But all past saints are just the sinners which fell down and got up! So we get up. Check out this awesome study:
Law and Works
What's the difference? Let me show you. You didn't win the "Citizen of the Year" award because you didn't cuss, get any traffic tickets, steal anything from anyone, murder anybody, or weren't unFaithful to your spouse. You won the award because you were kind to strangers, you helped the widowed and the fatherless, you were generous and compassionate to the poor, you volunteered for good causes, and because you were selfless, and considerate and righteous.
In other words, you didn't win because of all the bad things you didn't do (law), but because of all the good things you did do (works). And the works are to increase our Faith and hope as to enhance the power of Faith and Love.
The Grace Award
I've got a great surprise for you. You don't win God's Grace by following the law OR by your works, but by Faith! The example of law and works that you read above was a worldly example ... let's look at this spiritually now.
Law
God said He would put His law in our hearts. Because of our Faith we want to follow His law out of love, not fear of punishment. So we choose to increase our Faith and hope as to enhance the power of Faith and Love.
Do we then make void the law through Faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Just to make this perfectly clear ...
here is the chain of events according to God's Word:
- You hear Truth of Jesus and Grace
- You believe and Faith is established
- You repent for wrongdoing
- You receive God's Grace
- You receive the Holy Spirit
- God puts His law in your heart
- You want to obey His Will ...
- You begin to do good works out of Love not fear
- You fall down, you get up
- You maintain Faith until the end
- You receive the promise!
So, without Faith, God's law would not be written in your heart, you wouldn't care about obeying His law, you wouldn't repent for wrongdoing, and you would receive no Grace. Without Faith, none of the others can be accomplished, because one will not happen, unless the ones above it happen first.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by Faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 9:30-33
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which
followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness,
even the righteousness which is of Faith.
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of
righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by Faith, but as
it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling
stone;
33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling
stone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on Him shall not
be ashamed.
Galatians 5:4-5
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you
are justified by the law; ye are fallen from Grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of
righteousness by Faith.
Acts 13:39
And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Galatians 3:21-26
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God
forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given
life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that
the promise by Faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that
believe.
23 But before Faith came, we were kept under the law, shut
up unto the Faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto
Christ, that we might be justified by Faith.
25 But after that Faith is come, we are no longer under a
schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by Faith in Christ
Jesus.
Works
Remember ... We must increase our Faith and hope to enhance the power of Faith and Love. If you do good works because you feel like you need "points" to obtain God's Grace, what you're really saying is that God owes you something for your works. That last sentence should trouble you. Yes, sometimes it's hard to accept that weeeeeee can't take the credit for the Grace that God gives us freely, and that we did nothing to earn it, but that's exactly what makes it Grace, otherwise it would just be debt. Sounds more like a bill that needs to be paid, instead of a gift that is given out of love deeper than we could ever imagine. Just remember, when we try and do things on our own, without God, we always fall. It's when we put it all in His hands and rely on HIS will, that things always turn out the best.
4 Now to Him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of
Grace, but of debt.
5 But to Him that worketh not, but believeth on him that
justifieth the ungodly, his Faith is counted for righteousness.
Ephesians 2:4-10
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love
wherewith He loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us
together with Christ, (by Grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together
in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding
riches of His Grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by Grace are ye saved through Faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk
in them.
Let me remind you again, that Grace takes no work on your part, but Faith does. We must choose to increase our Faith and hope to enhance the power of Faith and love.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Increase Our Faith With Faith
Power of Faith Prevails
Notice that in these scriptures, none of them say:
The just shall live by law,
or
The just shall live by works,
but
The just shall live by Faith.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his Faith.
Romans 1:16-17
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the
Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from
Faith to Faith: as it is written, The just shall live by Faith.
Hebrews 10:38
Now the just shall live by Faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Old UnFaithful?
Jesus performed an awesome miracle when He fed 5000 men with no more than 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish.
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and
was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
15 And when it was evening, His disciples came to him,
saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the
multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy
themselves victuals.
16 But Jesus said unto them, They
need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves,
and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the
grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up
to Heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his
disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up
of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men,
beside women and children.
Now not long after this, the Apostles found themselves in the very same situation and guess what ... They seemed to forget about the feeding of the 5000 men.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them
those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast
them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the
dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the
blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said,
I have compassion on the multitude, because they
continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will
not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have
so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34 And Jesus saith unto them, How
many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little
fishes.
35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the
ground.
36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave
thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples
to the multitude.
37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up
of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside
women and children.
It seems clear that the Apostles FORGOT what Jesus had done. But guess what ... They do it AGAIN. Even Jesus has to remind them of the miracles they SAW with their eyes. Then they asked to increase our Faith.
5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they
had forgotten to take bread.
6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed
and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is
because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little Faith, why reason ye among yourselves,
because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five
loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how
many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not
to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the
Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware
of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of
the Sadducees.
And yet AGAIN ... They FORGOT about the Miracles when another tragedy fell upon them. (Remember ... We must increase our Faith and hope and actually seek to enhance the power of Faith and love.)
47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of
the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was
contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh
unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they
supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And
immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind
ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and
wondered.
52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for
their heart was hardened.
This brings these words to mind and heart ...
Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Lord Please Increase Our Faith and Hope
The Power of Faith and Love Can Cause Miracles
There are times when we all question whether our Faith is deep enough. That's because we're all in the middle of a battle called Spiritual Warfare. What's happening is the devil is trying to win our souls away from God.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil,
as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist steadfast in the Faith, knowing that the
same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the
world.
10 But the God of all Grace, who hath called us unto His
eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while,
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are
lost:
4 In whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Always remember, we all sin ... Everybody. That doesn't mean you've lost Faith. It means you're a member of the human race.
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
You must know you're sinning, to sin.
And that's why God gives us His Grace. I've got a few scriptures that should help you.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me,
for that He counted me Faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and
injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in
unbelief.
14 And the Grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with
Faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Things done ignorantly in unbelief are forgiven by God's Grace. We all fall down. Then, we are to get up and continue to increase our Faith and hope to enhance the power of Faith and love over and over again to obtain and maintain Faith.
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant
of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that
blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the
Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written,
There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away
ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take
away their sins.
28 As concerning the Gospel, they are enemies for your
sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the
father's sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have
now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through
your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He
might have mercy upon all.
God has considered everyone in unbelief, so He can have mercy on all.
If we believe not, yet He abideth Faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
Jesus remains hopeful that unbelievers will have a change of heart, because His Faith is perfect.

1 Corinthians 13:2
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all Faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the Faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2 Peter 1:5-7

Faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience;
