This is our absolutely awesome and extremely intriguing Heavenly Angels Bible study looking for the Truth about the question that resides in the mind and heart of many Christians which is ... Are there Angels among us? What does the Bible say about there being Heavenly Angels among us today? Let's look into this together, shall we?
When you think of Angels, do you think of an entity standing with a sword and shield, wielding the power of God? Do you think of someone in a white flowing gown with a pure face surrounded by cascading Angelic hair and a glowing light around them? Maybe you think of plump little babies with feathery wings and little halos fluttering around the expanse of Heaven and Earth? No matter how you picture Angels in your mind, one thing is for certain:
Angels Are Real
Most believe that there are Angels, but the real question is ... Is it really possible that Angels are actually walking amidst us? Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's look at Angels in Scripture. The word Angel is in the Bible almost 300 times.
Heavenly Angels Bible Study
Are There Angels Among Us
In this Angelic study, we are going to find out more about these spiritual beings and how even though you may not know it, they're an important part of our lives. Many people believe that when they die, they will become an Angel. Others believe in Angels, but they don't believe that humans can become Angels ...
But what is the Truth?
This is a little tricky, so follow closely ... The Apostle John says that we are the sons of God now. But is he speaking literally, or is this a term of endearment?
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed
upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore
the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it
doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He
shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
John may be saying that we are Angels in our hearts, but we know not what our angelic form will be like when we are in Heaven ... Albeit undoubtedly, it will be in the image of God. Paul similarly speaks of us being the sons of God now:
11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the
dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh,
to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye
through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they
are the sons of God.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to
do of His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of
God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation,
among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in
the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in
vain.
What Are Heavenly Angels Bible Study
Are There Angels Among Us Today Research
Another scripture written by John definitely says that we will become Heavenly Angels ...
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and
the world knew Him not.
11 He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the
flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
However, this doesn't specify when. We learned earlier that Angels abide in Heaven, so one might assume that we won't become as Angels until we are in Heaven. Don't forget, that doesn't mean when you die, because you will be in Paradise Abraham's Bosom until the 1st resurrection and rapture.
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What
are these which are arrayed in white robes and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to
me, These are they which came out of Great Tribulation, and have
washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Jesus confirms that we become As Angels in the resurrection.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the Angels of God in Heaven.
Heavenly Angels Bible study point of Interest ... So, if you had high hopes that when you die, you would become an Angel and God would assign you to watch over your loved ones, it doesn't look like that's in the divine plan, but somehow, I don't think God will disappoint you with what He has in store for the interim between our decease and the resurrection.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I
had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the
Angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am
thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the Prophets, and of them
which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
John, the writer of the book of Revelation is speaking to an Angel (this of course is after the 1st resurrection) and he falls at the feet of this Angel. The Angel told John not to bow to him, because the Angel was a fellow servant and of thy brethren the Prophets and of them which keep the sayings of this book. Wow !!! This simply means that the Angel, that John was speaking to ... Was once in our physical form and not an Angel.
So, the answer to our question earlier, Can humans become Angels, is YES!
Awesome huh?
Heavenly Angels Bible Study Trek For Truth
Why Are There Angels Among Us Today
Now, you may have wondered if Angels get to know what you're thinking, or if they can see you at any given moment. Well ... Heavenly Angels today are here to help us, so you don't have to worry that your deceased grandpa knows any of your deep dark secrets.
Another thing to remember is that only God is omniscient ... That is, He is the only one that can know your thoughts. Can Angels see you though? Well, they do report to God of your doings, so it's a good bet they can.
Some spiritual things, will obviously remain a mystery, until we actually experience them, but one thing is sure, we will have a much better understanding of things ... What things? Guess we'll have to wait and see!
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
2 Peter 1:3-4
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all
things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of
Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious
promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Sons of God
Now for something quite interesting.
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the
face of the Earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they
were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Who are these sons of God?
They are Angels that God created, they were never humans, but spiritual, with eternal life, that abide in Heaven. Since they live forever, there was no need to procreate, so God did not make wives for them.
It makes sense then, why all of the Angels of the Lord that you read about in the Bible are male, because they were the only gender God created as Angels from their beginning. We'll be discussing the above scripture from Genesis, a little later in this study.

- a messenger, esp. of God.
- a person having qualities generally attributed to an Angel, as beauty, purity, or kindliness.
- an attendant or guardian spirit.
- a deceased person whose soul is regarded as having been accepted into Heaven.
Heavenly Angels Bible Study Investigation
Are There Angels Among Us Today Mystery
So, as you can see ... Even Webster's Dictionary believes that people can become Angels when they go to Heaven.
Let's investigate some of the different kinds of Angels.
Cherubim
The first Angels that are mentioned in the Bible are called Cherubim. Cherubim guard the Garden of Eden to protect the Tree of Life.
So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life.
Definition:
- A celestial being
- A member of the second order of Angels, often represented as a winged child
- A person, esp. a child, with a sweet, chubby face
- A biblical figure often represented as a being with 4 wings , a human head and an animal body and regarded as a guardian of a sacred place
King David said that God rode upon a Cherub ...
And He rode upon a Cherub, and did fly: and He was seen upon the wings of the wind.
Psalms 18:10
And He rode upon a Cherub, and did fly: yea, He did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Variety of Heavenly Angels Bible Study
Are There Angels Among Us Today Clues
Perhaps he was referring to the Mercy Seat made of gold, where the presence of God abided in the Tabernacle that Moses made.
18 And thou shalt make two Cherubim of gold, of beaten work
shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
19 And make one Cherub on the one end, and the other
Cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the
Cherubim on the two ends thereof.
20 And the Cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on
high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall
look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the
Cherubim be.
21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark;
and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune
with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two Cherubim
which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will
give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
The Mercy Seat was an earthly example of God's Heavenly Chariot of Cherubim (Cherubim is plural for Cherub) that Ezekiel describes in his vision in Ezekiel, Chapter 10. In this vision, there are Cherubim with four wings, four faces (of a Cherub, a man, a lion, and an eagle), and likeness of the hands of a man under their wings. They have wheels beneath them, and fire under the wheels. Now that folks, is transportation!
The Mercy Seat had a chariot of Cherubim that covered the Ark of the Covenant:
And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the Cherubim, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
Seraphim
A seraph is one of the 6-winged Angels of the highest rank believed in ancient Judaism to guard God's throne with sacred ardor (loyalty). Seraphim is the plural of seraph.
In the Revelation of Jesus to John, the four seraphim that guard God's Heavenly throne are described as beasts, although one has the face of a man. In other words ... Some Angels can be animals! So if you've ever wondered if there are animals in Heaven, the answer is, yes! John also describes them as having six wings and they praise God, so that means that these angel animals can talk too!
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Isaiah 6:2
Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

Archangel
An Archangel is a chief or principal Angel; one of the nine orders of celestial attendants of God.
Yet Michael the Archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first ...
Watchers
Daniel refers to some Angels as Watchers ...
I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from Heaven ...
Ministering Spirits
And Paul refers to Angels as ministering spirits ...
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Guardian Heavenly Angels Bible Study
Are There Angels Among Us Today Watching Over Us
This confirms that each of us has an assigned Angel which watches over us. Whether you acknowledge their presence ... Or not, they are there. Isn't that just Awesome?
You will oft times hear people talk about their Guardian Angels ... But are they Real?
Jesus said, [concerning God's children ... Namely You] Be careful that you never harm one of these little ones, because I tell you, that in Heaven their Angels always look upon the face of my Heavenly Father.
Heavenly Angels Bible study Tidbit of Truth ... On top of that, we have the Holy Spirit, given to us as a Comforter. Are we, as Christians spoiled or what? So whenever you feel alone, ponder on this Truth. God loves His children and He gave us spiritual companions to protect and comfort us because we're so precious to Him. Make sure you commune with the Holy Spirit often and say "Hi" to your Heavenly assigned Angel once and again.
This is what King David wrote:
11 For He shall give His Angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash
thy foot against a stone.
Angels in White
White is the color that represents innocence and purity. Whenever the clothing of an Angel is mentioned in the Bible, it is white.
And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
John 20:12
And seeth two Angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
Acts 1:10
And while they looked stedfastly toward Heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel ...
Revelation 3:4-5
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not
defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white:
for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white
raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Book Of Life,
but I will confess his name before my Father, and before His Angels.
Revelation 3:18
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Revelation 6:11
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Revelation 7:9
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands ...
Revelation 7:13-14
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What
are these which are arrayed in robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to
me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have
washed their robes, and made them in the blood of the Lamb.
Revelation 15:6
And the seven Angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
Revelation 19:14
And the armies which were in Heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Oh my Stars!
And speaking of stars ...
Check out what the Apostle Paul says:
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind
of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and
another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies
terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of
the terrestrial is another.
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual
body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Stars are really the celestial homes of Angels!
Jesus made this clear in the Revelation to John.
The seven stars are the Angels of the seven churches.
When most people see a falling star, they think it's a really cool thing and they make a wish, when in fact, it's an Angel, who has traded their home in Heaven for something ungodly.
There are many more hints in the Bible that suggest that Angels are stars, here are a few.
Stars are named by God!
He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names.
Stars can sing!
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the Earth? declare, if thou hast understanding ... When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Stars can praise God!

Praise ye Him, sun and moon: praise Him, all ye stars of light.
Stars are righteous!
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
These twelve stars were the twelve children of Israel.
And there appeared a great wonder in Heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
Heavenly Angels Bible Study on Various Angels
Are There Angels Among Us Warning and Blessing
That's right, there are. Probably the two most commonly known good Angels are Michael and Gabriel. Michael, the Archangel who appeared to Daniel and is mentioned in the book of Jude also accompanied Enoch through visions from the Lord.
Gabriel appeared to Daniel, also Zacharias and the virgin Mary, and was seen by Enoch as well.
The Angel Satan
Maybe you've heard before that Satan was really an Angel once. Actually, he still is, but he's a bad angel. We don't commonly think of Angels as being "bad" but some have fallen, and their choices have affected each and every one of us.
Heavenly Angels Bible study note: The Bible describes the angel Satan through an allegory in the words of the Prophet Ezekiel describing the king of Tyrus, saying that he had been in Eden, the garden of God. He was the anointed Cherub that guarded the mountain of God. He was perfect in his ways from the day he was created until iniquity was found in him, in fact, he was so beautiful that he became prideful and corrupted because of his brightness. So God said He would destroy him for all to see and devour him, that he would be never more.
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of
Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the
sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every
precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond,
the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and
the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy
pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed Cherub that covereth; and I have
set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast
walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou
wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled
the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I
will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will
destroy thee, O covering Cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou
hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast
thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may
behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of
thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I
bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and
I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them
that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be
astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be
any more.
John also writes of Satan, that he has angels that he recruited from the Sons of God.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,
called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was
cast out into the earth, and his Angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of
his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which
accused them before our God day and night.
These are even called Satan's Angels by Jesus:
Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his Angels.

Are There Angels Among Us Today Scripture
(There is spiritual warfare among spirits too. The devil is not only trying to get humans to turn away from God, but Angels as well.) He stands before God, day and night, accusing believers for their weaknesses.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Satan and these bad Angels will be banned from Heaven.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his Angels were cast out with him.
Heavenly Angels Bible study field trip ... The book of Job includes some interesting references to Angels, saying that they come to present themselves before the Lord. They give God reports about how we're doing, and perhaps like heavenly attorneys plead for us when we make poor choices, but you can bet there are also Angels that can't wait to rat us out and persecute us before God. In this story, Satan stands in line with them and when God asks him where he's been, Satan answers, From going to and fro in the Earth, and from walking up and down in it. We must always be aware of this. Satan's jealousy causes him to bet God, that Job will curse Him, if his blessings are taken away.
Satan loses the bet.
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present
themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then
Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the
earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my
servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and
an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear
God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his
house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed
the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he
hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath
is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan
went forth from the presence of the Lord.
