4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Jeremiah 30:7-9

7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Ezekiel 34:23-25

23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
24 And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.
25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

Ezekiel 37:21-25

21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Millennium Isaiah 11 6 Meaning

Who is A Little Child Shall Lead Them

Hosea 3:5

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days.

No doubt about it, David will be king (At least in a Spiritual sense). But, being as David has passed on to the next realm (Died) how will this be? Some think that the Scriptures are cryptically saying that Jesus (Of the bloodline of David) will Live and rule on earth during the Millennium. Others believe that David will return from Abraham's Bosom and rule as king once again in Jerusalem during the Millennium. Let's take it one possibility at a time. First theory;

Could the child be referring to Jesus?

Isaiah 11:1-10

1 And there shall come forth a Rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and A Little Child Shall Lead Them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a ROOT of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Important Note: In this very mysterious and thought provoking Bible Child Leader passage, in verse 1 it says ... A Rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his Roots: This is saying that from the Offspring of Jesse will come another which will be this Child which will lead during the Millennium. Then in verse 10 it says ... And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek:

A Root means it came before Jesse. (The name of David's Dad is Jesse)

The individual spoken of in verse 10 is Jesus ... Jesus was here from the beginning.

John 1:1-2

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.

John 1:14

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Paul confirms this Bible Child Leader individual in verse 10 ... Is Jesus:

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Secret

A Little Child Shall Lead Them Timing

Romans 15:8-12

8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias [Isaiah] saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust.

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Trivia ... But, who is this Branch in verse 1? Is it the entity from the, a child shall lead them Bible verse? Now, how about the idea that maybe Verse 1 is really somehow mysteriously saying that Jesus (Of the bloodline of David) is really the child that will be king and rule on Earth during the Millennium? First of all, let's look at this theory in a diff light;

Is Jesus gonna come back to Earth at Armageddon and slay the wicked on His white Horse, then become an infant and be called David and lead the people on earth during the Millennium? Is He gonna be demoted from being a part of God to becoming a human and trade up sitting on the right hand of God to be an earthly King? You have to ask yourself will Jesus be 'born again' in order to come back as a little child to 'lead' or rule God's people during the Millennium? Have you ever read anything like that in your Bible? Let's look at this branch of Jesse being taught the fear of the Lord.

And there shall grow out of his roots: And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord ... It appears that this individual will be taught fear of the Lord.

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Promise

A Little Child Shall Lead Them KJV Identity

Is Jesus, who IS the Lord, going to be this Bible Child Leader taught to fear the Lord? That brings up an important question ... Where is Jesus during the Millennium? It is clear in the prophecies that the Lord will be the Lord in Heaven and David will be their king and shepherd on earth.

So, an excellent way to discern if Jesus is the child being referred to as "David" in these prophecies, is to determine where Jesus will be during the Millennium, in Heaven or on Earth?

Let the Bible give you a couple of hints:

Revelation 20:4

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

These souls live and reign with Christ for 1000 Years during the Millennium. But, where will they live and reign with Jesus? That is the real question we need the answer to as to determine who is the entity in the, A Little Child Shall Lead Them KJV Scripture. So, where do these souls live and reign with Jesus at? On Earth or in Heaven?

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Debate

A Little Child Shall Lead Them Dispute

In order to find out, we have to find out where the souls are, that died in the name of Christ:

Revelation 6:9-11

9 And when He had opened the Fifth Seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the Earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

They are in Heaven ... Those souls who died for the Word of God (because of their beliefs) are under the altar, in front of God's Throne. So, Jesus will Live and Reign in Heaven. Not on Earth. Now we know that the David, who is to rule on Earth during the Millennium, is not Jesus, because those who died in His name are in Heaven living and reigning with Him. We must remember that Scripture says that during the Millennium, David will be the leader on Earth.

Scripture also says that he will feed the people and be their shepherd. In addition, Scripture says, a little child shall lead them during this time of peace. Now, let us look at the other theory;

Is the child a resurrected king David?

Though we know that the resurrection of the dead is possible. Are we to assume that when the Rapture and Resurrection occurs, that David's soul will come to Earth from Abraham's Bosom to rule once again, while all the other souls go to Heaven to live and reign with Jesus?

A Child Shall Lead Them Bible trivia ... If you were David, wouldn't you be lifting your eyebrow about that one? We had better investigate this a little more. Now, we know that during the Millennium that God will be the people's God and that David will be king and shepherd over the people. The Bible is very clear. So, how do we make sense of all this?

Prophetic Isaiah 11 6 Meaning

A Little Child Shall Lead Them Where

Let's give our mortal minds a break from the intense a child shall lead them Scripture for a few minutes here and put on our Spiritual thinking caps for a while, okay? Did you know that God can put the same spirit into different people? Is it possible that someone with the spirit of David will rule as king on Earth during the Millennium?

Consider the Prophet Elijah ... Now, when you think about Elijah, you probably think about him challenging 450 false prophets to a "Who can prove their God is real" contest, and winning, hands down.

But, do you also remember that just after this event, he sheepishly hid in the wilderness praying for death because he feared the woman Jezebel? Could this be one and the same man? The answer is yes, but with a different spirit working through him at times. God can and does put different spirits into people.

Elisha (the Prophet who the Lord chose to take Elijah's place) asked for a double portion of Elijah's spirit.

2 Kings 2:9

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

2 Kings 2:14-15

14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the Prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Would you like a second Bible Child Leader comparison example? I Thought you might. The spirit of Elijah was also put into John the Baptist:

Malachi 4:5-6

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the Earth with a curse.

Matthew 11:10-14

10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
13 For all the Prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias (Elijah), which was for to come.

Mark 9:11-13

11 And they asked Him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias (Elijah) must first come?
12 And He answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that He must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13 But I say unto you, That Elias (Elijah) is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Spiritual Isaiah 11 6 Meaning

A Little Child Shall Lead Them Home

What was it that Jesus said? If you can understand it, John the Baptist is Elijah.

Of course John the Baptist was John the Baptist and Elijah was Elijah, but what does it mean, "this IS Elias?"

Simply that God put the same spirit that was in Elijah, into John the Baptist as well.

Okay, everyone, adjust your thinking caps a little because I have a little puzzler for you: IF John the Baptist was Elijah ... Who was Elijah during the transfiguration?

Matthew 17:3

And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Was he Elijah or Elisha or John the Baptist?

How about one more A child shall lead them detour illustration, just to understand thoroughly that God can put the same spirit into different people:

Revelation 11:3-4

3 And I will give power unto my Two Witnesses, and they shall prophecy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the Earth.

Now, let's see if we understand this properly. These two individuals are chosen by God to be on Earth during a three and one half year time period during the End Times ... They are the "Two olive trees and candlesticks". Before we proceed with our A Child Shall Lead Them trek for Truth, it's important to learn more of this phrase "Two olive trees and candlesticks" that stand before God.

In Zechariah, it tells us of an Angel talking with Zechariah.

Zechariah 4:11-14

11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole Earth.

This Angel showed him a vision. The vision was of a Candlestick of gold, with the bowl upon the top of it, with seven lamps and seven pipes. It had two "olive trees" on either side of it. Zechariah asked the Angel what the two olive trees stood for ... What the symbols represented. The Angel responded in Verse 14 ... These are the two anointed ones that stand before the Lord.

So, it is apparent that God has two spirits that He places in humans, as He did with Joshua and Zerubbabel, in the book of Zechariah. God places these spirits into humans to fulfill His will. This will be done through the Two Witnesses in the Book of Revelation.

From these A child shall lead them examples, can we not conclude that it is possible that when the prophecies predicted that David would be king and shepherd during the Millennium that it was referring to the spirit that was in David, will also be in the king who leads God's people on Earth during the Millennium. Not David himself.

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Reward

A Little Child Shall Lead Them to the Promise

Just as it was with the spirit of Elijah being in John the Baptist?

A Child shall lead them tidbit of truth ... I know that it is normal to allow one's natural instincts to go by the letter of the Words rather than the Spirit of the Words so I will help you to understand this better.

Is Jesus ... God?

John 10:30

I and my Father are one.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Immediately, you want to say, Yes and you would be absolutely correct! But ... Does Jesus not sit on the right Hand of God?

Psalms 110:1

The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Luke 22:69

Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

Mark 16:19

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

1 Peter 3:22

Who is gone into Heaven, and is on the right hand of God; Angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him.

How is Jesus sitting on the right hand of God when He is God?

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Facts

How A Little Child Shall Lead Them KJV

This is such an integral part of our Faith, that we don't question that God is God, and Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. We understand how essential all three are to the completeness of our Lord.

We accept it as Truth ... And it is.

We understand that the depths of God are beyond man's limited understanding ... Yet, oft times man seems to forget this rule of thumb when attempting to discern other aspects of God's Word such as prophecy and tend to believe the carnal interpretation of a Spiritual matter.

I expound on this to further point out that even though God may put the same spirit into different people, they are still individual people. Maybe the same with this, a Child Shall Lead them individual.

John the Baptist didn't have the exact same physical appearance as Elijah, and certainly they had unique personalities. They are not clones. God put the same spirit into each of them as to accomplish His will through these two men.

So at this point, my question to you is this ... Could it be that this David that we read of in the Word, who is to lead God's people during the Millennium, will be a unique, different, separate person than David the King was?

Let me remind you once again that Scripture said that the Lord would send Elijah back: Behold, I will send you Elijah,And that would sound like God was going to send Elijah himself back from the dead but with hindsight, we see He did not.

Jesus Himself said that if one could comprehend it, John the Baptist was Elijah.

Spirit of Man

This is a good time to remember what happens to the spirit when a person dies.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

Then shall the dust return to the Earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

So, from what we have just read about the spirit returning to God when a person dies, it's not incomprehensible to conclude that God is keeping the spirit that David had in safe keeping until the time of the Millennium, when He will give it to that special person that only He knows, ( A Child Shall Lead Them them person ) who will shepherd His people and be the chosen Earthly prince forevermore.

So ... Why David?

You may have noticed when reading the Bible, that David was one of God's favorite people. All of David's predecessors were compared to David and when you read the Word, you can sense a unique kind of Love when the Lord refers to David, more intensely than other men of God. Perhaps David won a special place in God's heart because of the adoration that he had for the Lord and his way of expressing it through writing psalms and singing and playing the harp.

Maybe it was David's earnest burning desire to follow God's commandments and lead His people in doing the same. Maybe it was the deep sincerity of David's repentance whenever he did something to disappoint the Lord that made him dear to God's heart. Maybe it was David's total devotion right from the get go, when as a child, he even refused to wear armor, because he put all of his Faith in God as his protection, and stepped up to defend the army of God against the giant Goliath while the rest of Israel stood watching in fear and astonishment.

Why David?

Oh, I dunno ... Maybe he just proved to be the best spirit for the job.

How Old Will This Child Be?

In the days of the kings in the Bible, there were children as young as seven years old that reigned over God's people. Don't forget about God's Prophet Jeremiah who was called when he was just a child.

Jesus said you must be as a child to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven ...

Isaiah 11 6 Meaning Summary

A Little Child Shall Lead Them on the Future

Now ... God will come and reign in the New Heaven and New Earth. Most believe the story ends after the Rapture, but that is not what the Bible shares with us. If you will read Revelation, Chapters 20-22 to learn the difference between Millennium and the New Heaven and New Earth. But, this is after the 1000 year period known as the Millennium is ended and the Great White Throne Judgment has occurred. This can all be confirmed in the Prepare For End Times study. Bring your Bible to confirm. So, we see that there are few theories as to who the Child could be. But, let's look at this just one more time

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and His rest shall be glorious. For those that believe that the Branch in verse one DOES represent Jesus, there is no real dispute as we also see that it never actually says the child is the entity spoken of in verse one.

So, what we do know is that in the end ... A Child Shall Lead Them (God's People). There will be a Bible Child Leader, with the spirit of King David, that shall lead and shepherd God's people on earth during the Millennium and Jesus will reign from Heaven during the Millennium.
