6 For they have shed the blood of Saints and Prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

All freshwater becomes as blood.

Revelation 16:12-14

12 And the sixth Angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The Wrath of God Towards Babylon
The Wrath of God in Revelation Mystery

Mystery Babylon Destroyed

Revelation 16:19

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

After the Seven Vials of Revelation were shared ... It says that God remembered Babylon and it was time to judge it.

In Revelation, Chapter 17, we learn of a new entity that will be a part of the End Times. It is the great whore that sits upon many waters. One of the Angels which were pouring out the seven vials of Revelation shares of this new entity.

Revelation 17:1

And there came one of the seven Angels which had the Seven Vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

With whom the worldly people indulged in her ways.

Revelation 17:2

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

So, one of the Angels which had the Seven Vials of the Wrath of God said that this entity sits atop of a beast with seven heads and 10 horns (Antichrist's Empire) and is arrayed in purple and red and is decked with jewels and wealth.

On her head is written:

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

But who is this woman? We are given every clue necessary to figure out who she is in Chapters 17 and 18. We will begin our quest to solve this "mystery".

Revelation 17:3-4

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

The Wrath of God Bible Danger
What is the Wrath of God in Revelation Prophecy

This place will "ride on" Antichrist's Empire.

Revelation 17:4

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

This place's colors are purple and red.

Revelation 17:6

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the Saints, and with the blood of the Martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

It's a place that killed many Christians.

Revelation 17:9

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

This place sits upon 7 mountains.

Revelation 17:15

And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

This place controls different nations and races.

Revelation 17:16

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

The 10 kings hate and burn this place in the end.

Revelation 17:17

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

It is a great city which rules kings of the Earth.

Revelation 18:8

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

This place is destroyed in one day with fire.

Revelation 18:12

The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

It is known for its abundant merchandise.

Revelation 18:17-19

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

This place is a sea port.

Now, as I ponder on the Wrath of God clues that we have been provided to solve our "mystery" ... Many things continue to disturb me. Babylon is the ancient name for modern day Iraq. However, it was not really a place well known for its killing of Christians. Remember that Christians did not come about until after Jesus and Iraq was not known for killing Christians at the time that John shared this prophecy.

Babylon (Iraq) does not sit on seven mountains or hills, it does not control different nations and races nor rule kings of the Earth. It is not known for the merchandise mentioned in Chapter 18 and is not a sea port. The thing that bothers me most, is why the writer would say, "Mystery" Babylon the great.

We know that John wrote this while he was imprisoned on Patmos Island and he sent this vision to the seven Churches. Perhaps he had to talk in riddles as to not have the Roman officials confiscate his writings because he mentioned them.

I know Babylon (Iraq) does not fit this bill. No wonder he used the word mystery.

But, I do know of a place that fits the description ... Very well.

The Wrath of God Towards Rome
The Wrath of God in Revelation Fate

Rome / The Vatican

It will be a part of Antichrist's empire, as we found out earlier. Its colors are purple and red, It has the most blood of the Martyrs of Jesus. They crucified and beheaded most of the Apostles and Martyrs there. As a matter of fact, they used to have these arenas where the Romans would all gather (like most countries do at sporting events) and the hosts would have Christian children put on sheep skins.

They would tell these Christian children that it was a game. They opened the doors to the arena, and the Christian children would run out with the sheepskins on, making the noises of sheep (bahhhhhhhh). The Christian children did not know the Romans had ravenous wolves waiting to devour them ... All for the Romans' entertainment.

It does sit on seven hills, it is the only city that controls many nations, peoples and kings, by way of the Catholic Church, it is known for all of the merchandise mentioned, it is a seaport and since the writer of the Book of Revelation, wrote this book on Patmos Island, which is a Roman prison, I guess I can see why he would need to write the word "Mystery" as to be able to have the vision he was given, shown to other Christians and not have it confiscated because the Romans did not like reading of their own doom. We should keep our eyes on Rome and the Vatican, for they seem to fit the "mystery" woman description very well ...

What is the Wrath of God in Revelation? It is a dreadful and fearful thing. The wildest events are yet to come, as you will see, as we continue our venture into ...

The End Times
