Prophetic Signs in Biblical Prophecy

Bible Signs and Wonders Warning

Let's look back at some of the Bible signs that we have encountered while on this End Times discovery voyage and what we have learned from God's Word which is filled with prophetic signs and wonders.

As you recall, back on the 1st page of the Prepare for End Times adventure, there were 3 questions that we were going to seek the answers to. Those questions were:

What happens during the End Times?

What Bible Signs and wonders do we watch for?

How do we prepare for End Times?

If you have been staying up with this Biblical Prophecy Signs journey that we have been on together, you know that we have discovered what will occur during the End Times. Let us now look into what signs we should watch for, to know when the End Times are upon us.

Matthew 16:2-3

2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Jesus said, that the people of that time period could read the signs of the Earth, like what the weather would be like the next day by certain conditions the day before, but that they could not discern "the signs of the times." What He was saying was, they could predict weather because of weather patterns, but did not know that He was the Messiah, though past prophecy, foretold of Jesus coming to Earth at the time of His coming.

There were many Prophecy Signs Scriptures that foretold of the Prophetic Signs to watch for concerning events that would occur around the coming of the Messiah, such as things He would do and even foretold the exact day He would come. We will discuss these proofs a little later in our Biblical Prophecy Signs path to peace.


Prophetic Signs From Biblical Prophecy

Most have read about some of the signs we are to watch for and even more have heard of Bible Signs and Wonders found in Biblical stories, but they do not know how these prophetic signs affect them as Christians. These prophetic signs are giving us a view of the future by foretelling the events that occur during the End Times.

In the Olivet Discourse the Apostles asked Jesus, "What shall be the "sign" of your return and of the end of the world?"

Matthew 24:3

And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Obviously, He answered them, when He told them in Prophetic Signs of the End Time events, which we have learned of in this study. For example, when you see the Seals start to occur, like the Sun and Moon getting dark and stars falling, you are going to know the End is here. This is Prophetic Signs of things that will happen in the future. But, He also told the Apostles another bit of Biblical Prophecy Signs to watch for.

Matthew 24:42-44

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

In truth, in one of the Biblical Prophecy Signs ... He said that mankind would not know the hour of His return, but that if someone knew what "watch" (general time frame) an event would occur, that they could then be prepared for it.

So, what we are to watch for is Bible Signs and wonders patterns shared in the various Biblical Prophecy Signs and be alert for the appearance of the promised Prophecy Signs as to know what "watch" the End Times will occur. But how in the world would we know what "watch" (General time frame) Jesus will return and the End Times would occur? This is the question that has boggled mankind for centuries.

Let's look in the Bible and use Biblical Prophecy to find the answer to this question, so we will know, the sign of the times. Because the Israelites did not comprehend these prophecies that are now so easy to see, and they crucified the Lord. Let us not make the same mistake and accept Antichrist as our Lord, by failing to watch for and properly discern the Biblical prophecy foretold in God's Word.

Work Six Days, Rest on the Seventh

In the Book of Genesis, Chapter 1 it says God worked 6 days and rested on the 7th day.

Genesis 2:2

And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

God also made this law apply to His people. They were to work 6 days and rest on the 7th. This day is called Sabbath.

Exodus 20:9-10

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shall gather in the fruits thereof.

Exodus 23:10

And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

If His people had a servant, they were to work 6 years and be set free the 7th year. God's people were also to sow in the land and gather fruits for 6 years but not in the 7th. Even Jesus, when He was put on the Cross, hung there 6 hours, and died at the beginning of the 7th hour.

Mark 15:25, 34-37

25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, He calleth Elias.
36 And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave Him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take Him down.
37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

They crucified Jesus at the 3rd hour (9:00 AM) and He died at the 9th hour (3:00 PM). That is 6 hours and when the 7th hour began ... It was over.

We see a Prophetic Signs pattern created by God. There are 6 time periods of work and 1 time period of rest.

Day of Rest

Here comes a Bible Signs and wonders Point of Interest ... The Bible says that after the End Times, there is a one thousand year period of time, known as the "Millennium" which Satan is imprisoned and there is a time of peace and rest for mankind.

Revelation 20:3-4

3 And cast him [satan] into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1000 Years = One Day to God

The Bible reveals that Heaven and Earth are reserved for fire and judgment, but that one day to God is 1000 years to mankind.

2 Peter 3:8

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

It also says that a thousand years in God's sight are as but a day, as a "watch" in the night.

Psalms 90:4

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
