The Story of Elisha in the Bible Events
The Second Book of the Kings is the history of the kings of Israel and Judah from the appointment of Solomon to the Babylonian captivity. The 2 Kings Bible study story continues with the tragedy which began in the First Book of the Kings.
The disastrous history of two nations on a collision course with captivity. The 1 Kings and 2 Kings Bible study events and the story of Elisha in the Bible shares events surrounding the Nineteen consecutive evil kings who rule in Israel, leading to their captivity by Assyria.
Things are somewhat better in Judah, as a righteous king emerges here and there to repair the ills caused by their predecessors. In the end, however, sin outweighs righteousness and Judah is marched off to Babylon.
