It's a pleasure to have this opportunity to share more Daily Bread with you. Last time we studied, Paul was telling us about spiritual gifts. He explained how we are each blessed with different gifts, yet we all work together, with one just as important as another.

And at the end of this topic, Paul says, You can earnestly desire the very best gifts, and still, I'll show you something even better. What could be better than glorifying God with the gifts that He's given to you? Doing it with love because true Love conquers all things.

There are many Love Conquers all Bible verse passages which reveal the actual power of Love. Love is the spiritual gift that enhances all other spiritual gifts. It's available to every one of us, both to give and to receive. The question is, how do we use it?

To start off with, take a look at what Jesus says about Love.

Mark 12:29-31

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

And I may give all that I own to feed the poor, and I may give my body to be burned, but if I have no love, it profits me nothing.

This is the real, spiritual gift of Love. If everyone you loved, and everyone who loves you, followed this definition of love that Paul describes, wouldn't you find it easier to love? Wouldn't you find it easier not to modify love yourself? What do you think ... If you take away even one of the things in the definition, is it love anymore? Also, did you notice that Paul never used the words "sometimes" or "most of the time" in his recollection of what the Holy Spirit told him to teach about what love is.

Here's an interesting true love conquers all things observation. Love seeketh not "her" own. Love is spoken of in the feminine form because it is soft, it is gentle, it is meek. But when that which is perfect (complete) is come then that which is in part shall be done away. (When we are in the next life, we'll forget all about this one.) When I was a child, I talked as a child, I felt as a child, I reasoned as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a mirror, darkly; (the mirrors of old time were different than today and the reflections were not clear) but when Jesus returns, then we'll see face to face: now I know (Him) in part; but then shall I know (Him) even as also I am known (by Him).

1 John 3:2

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

And now remains Faith, Hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
