my testimony
My grandpa is an ordained preacher and he surrendered to preach at the age of 16. My Grandpa and my step-Grandma are retired missionaries. He remarried after his first wife died with cancer. I was born weighing three pounds. During pregnancy my mother reported to have used alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco, and a poor diet. I was diagnosed with a variant form of Seckel syndrome a subtype of primordial dwarfism who are called "the smallest people in the world". I was a child that never ate or slept and I have developmental delays and learning disabilities, and I also a have hard time concentrating in school and have a problem converting things in memory for tests. As a child I was raised with my mom and step -dad. I witnessed domestic violence between my mom and step-dad, experienced physical abuse at the hands of a baby sitter, and perhaps even my step dad, and also experienced emotional and possibly neglect. A couple times, me and my mom left and went a safe place, once we left and went to a woman's shelter, had an experience there. I jumped off the bunk bed and broke both wrists. My mom passed away when I was nine, due to so many complications but a few were respiratory failure caused by pulmonary hemorrhage and complications resulting from hepatitis C and seizures, she also had hemorrhages in her brain and her whole body shut down. She died on mother day. After she passed on, my grandparents took me to live with them and became my legal guardians. Before they took me in, God knew that I would be living with them, and spared my grandma's life, A few months before my moms passing was the Murrah building bombing. My grandma was supposed to be in court that day but had a terrible headache, they heard a big boom and the garage door was uneven, they had thought an airplane had crashed. My grandpa called my grandma in to see the tv, they got dressed and went over there to try and help but they didn't let anyone through. My grandpa saw one of the firefighters carrying a little girl, I don't remember what it was about the child, since they told me the story. But i believe that God was protecting them that day. When I arrived at their house I did not know how to brush my teeth, bathe, or take care of my hair. I would also not go into other parts of the house without someone being there with me because I was terrified. I wet my pants several times a day and refused to go to bed unless my grandma was there with me. I suffered from nightmares and ate very little. I would at times become frightened of my step-dad and said that I was scared he "come to where we live and kill everybody." I had a lot of anxiety and post traumatic stress syndrome. I went to a childhood counselor for about three years. When I was ten years old I invited the Lord to come into my heart and I was baptized. I was always praying and singing and learning a lot. That year my grandpa had open heart surgery for a metallic heart valve, It sounds like a watch ticking, sometimes its louder and other times it is softer.
When I was 16 I had a surgery to remove a tumor, I also was diagnosed with scoliosis.
At 21 that year we had a big trial in our family. My grandpa fell and twice we ended up in the hospital, he was throwing up blood and lost 3/4 of his blood from an ulcer, he also had his gallbladder removed. It was gangrene and fell apart in the surgeons hands. He stayed in the hospital for almost 4 months and had a feeding tube in because he refused to eat. He lost a lot of weight but He was finally well to go home. We had a lot of church family and our pastor visiting and praying and the whole time I was going to church, and I was getting to school by myself. I remember so well the night we went to the hospital the man in the ambulance stayed with me because we all thought he was dying. Praise the Lord He got well. About a month after he got home and was recovering I suddenly got sick with a bad cold so stayed home for a few days. well I started having pain in my side so on that Saturday morning finally I said I can't take this pain anymore can we go to the hospital, well we went to a urgent care clinic and they didn't have the equipment there so sent us to the hospital, with the iv line in me. They took me in right away; we stayed there the whole entire day. I prayed that they would find out what was causing all this pain because I had it before and they said it was nothing, finally after so many tests and such they admitted me to the hospital. I had Intussusception, that's where the intestines is folded up like a telescope and the tissues die, your intestines is blocked. They watched me for the next day or so after trying to correct it, they finally sent me to surgery. I had so many friends and people from our church. Our neighbor who is a preacher came down and anointed me with oil. Well being all day in the waiting room for surgery they finally took me in. They removed 5 1/2 inches of my small intestines.
Throughout all of this that happened, one thing that would make a big difference is that if it wasn't for the Lord helping us through this, I wouldn't be where I am today.
From not knowing if I was ever going to walk to graduating high school and going to college. Romans 8:28 for we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God-those called according to his purpose. A few years later, I felt I needed to be closer to the Lord and surrender some things that He showed me that I was blinded by, and I just gave them to Him, and rededicated my life in those areas, I give my All to Him. A couple of days after rededicating my life, the Lord yet again showed me He wanted me to write, not just poems now but sermons or devotionals. In a few months I have written many. So, not sure what His plan is yet but will continue to write and share them and keep praying that He will lead me. So I believe God has a plan for my life, I may not be big but I am important to Him. I give him all the glory and Honor Amen.

Greetings ServantofGod
Thank you for sharing your testimony. The Lord indeed has a plan for your life. (Jer 29:11) Even though you've gone through so much and have continued to Praise God, pressing into Him and willing to submit all to Him. We don't always see God's hand at work in and through the storms of life, but when we do look back we can truly see how only God Himself could have brought us through such troubles. To God be the Glory for the things He has done, Amen!
I encourage you to continue to press into Him, no matter what you may go through, no matter how difficult the circumstances may be, for God is with you. He said:
Matt 28:20 - ...... lo, I Am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Heb 13:5 - ".... for he hath said: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
Continue to seek Him and read His Word, His Holy Spirit will continue to lead and guide you into all truth. Be faithful to that which He has shown you to do.
Be blessed in Him.
