DID

Postby Ann_is_Alive » Fri May 13, 2011 2:16 pm

I have DID. It is really hard to explain sometimes what I am going through. As sometimes I don't even know myself. I don't know if anyone here has DID who can relate. I'm not sure why I'm posting, but having a difficult time right now.

I'm glad you are posting.

I am certain there are others who suffer this as well and can understand completely how you feel.

Sharing what you go through will help you as well and them.

Praying for you. *Pray*

I care about you. *hug*

Hi Ann,
I have been learning more about disassociation and what I have learned is that it is a gift from God to save that little child from the extreme truama that would have been too much for them. Not many people know about it and many who have it don't even realize that they do, thinking the missing time is just normal because it was always there.

Psa 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psa 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners

Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and because He did, we can.

Ann, not many people know about this and I pray that you find a Christian counselor who does or is at least lead by Holy Spirit because the pieces can be brought back together....only thru God. And it sounds like you are ready. But you need to find someone who can help talk you thru it, with Jesus right with you, because when a part gets reabsorbed, all the memories it has been holding are remembered too. But with that comes healing. And alot of forgiveness....but with forgiveness comes freedom. And God wants you to be free.
Also in my readings, it said that works best when a person is working with both a ministry healing and counselor sessions.
It is better to light a candle then curse the darkness *lost*
No fear... just freedom *knight*

ty deetu :)

I have slowly come to realize what DID is - thru counseling. However, I have not looked at from God's perspective.

My counselor is not a born again christian, but understands fully Christ being in my life and has encouraged me on this site and me looking for a home church. I have yet to find one tho. I have thought of being in spiritual counseling once I found a church and now with what you said, I believe that is best. ty for that

I must admit I have been kind of lazy looking for a church. Everytime I try, something is going on at the time....blah blah blah.....and i never get around to it.

Having DID is very frustrating but support on here and knowing more and more about it has made it more bearable. But lately it has beaten me down. *Pray* Like I said before, sometimes you just want to talk to someone else who has it too. I think I'm just rambling.

GBU
