Prayer for a Newborn Child

We are humbled by the awesome power of this moment.
From our lives we have brought forth life.
Through our love we have fashioned a child of love.
May our child be a blessing to all he meets.
And may he count us among his blessings as well.





Guide me, Lord, in the way of your commands.
Lord God, you probe us and you know us, you are always by our side. May your presence be a constant reminder of your love for us. May you guide us along life's path and lead us in ways that are fruitful and wise. We ask this in your name. Amen
