Afraid of being judged

Postby Garfieldheart » Mon Oct 15, 2012 7:39 pm

I hide things about what I have done or doubts I have about the bible, etc. because I am afraid what people( particularly people I consider as older/leaders/don't have problems like mine or many problems...) I have older friends who I consider to be like leaders and who seem to be knowledgeable of the bible. I am afraid to open up completely, though they are nice people. Any advice?

Hmm... Is there a reason why you feel this way? Do you feel that if you tell them about your doubts they will shame you? Everyone has doubts sometimes: remember, doubt is from the enemy. If you don't share these doubts and resolve them, they may hinder your spiritual growth, which is what the enemy wants. If you can't ask your friends, ask God. Maybe write a journal to God. After awhile you will get comfortable enough to read Him your journal, which will make you feel better. Ask Him to rid you of your doubt, and to show you the truth, and then start reading the bible, the Holy Spirit will help you understand. =)

Ask here. It will give you knowledge and confidence. So ask here. And then perhaps you will have enough knowledge and confidence to talk there.
