peace.... (salvation)

Postby logi bear » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:35 pm

One of the first things that satan tries to trip us up on .. is SALVATION.
He frequently puts lies and doubts and thoughts in our heads that cause us to question even one of the clearest promises that our God has given us.. Salvation through Jesus Christ...
sometimes i would start getting thoughts like this... that God had not heard my request for salvation... that i had sinned too many times.. He would never forgive me now.... that HE didn't love me..... even that i wasn't saved...
I started having anxiety attacks because of these lies... i couldn't sit still.. i couldn't breath .. all i could do was pace around in circles and cry because i was so scared..
and then one day i locked my self in the bath room .. turned on the faucet and ran the water so no one would hear me.. and i cried my eyes out... and begged Him that if He loved me.. and i was saved to give me peace.... and He did... it was so powerful.... it was like He had picked me up in His arms and held me.. and told me just how much He loved me.. that He would never let me go.....
Dont let satan pull the same trick on you that he pulled on me..

Acts 2 : 21
And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

it says whosoever shall call... not only this group of people.. or just this race... or just this gender.. or only those of a certain age.. it say WHOSOEVER.... that means anybody.. and everybody can call out to Him.. and there are NO exceptions...

it is an OPEN invitation... if you have accepted His invitation you are saved.. you are His child.. His little lamb...

26 - 28
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27 Because thou will not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt though suffer thine Holy one to see corruption. 28 though has made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy in thy countenance.

we can have peace and joy and rest knowing that our God will not leave us in that horrid place... that we can have joy and and happiness in His countenance.. regardless of what happens in our daily lives..

Love in God,

Thanks so much for sharing that logi *hug* I have wondered that very same thing also in the past, if i had exhausted the grace of God by repeatedly sinning. Thankfully the Word brings peace and comfort and answers to our questions if we do seek it out.

Im excited about your forum girl *angelbounce*

Be blessed *hug5*
