August 24
"And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
v. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet.
v. 23 And bring hither the fatted calf and kill it and let us eat and be merry.
v. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost and is found."
Thoughts
I used to think that I had sinned too much to ever be used of God again.
Do you ever think that way?
How wrong I was. For dear friend, when we confess our sins God not only forgives them and sets us on the solid rock of Christ our Saviour but He also give us compassion for those who also have slipped up.
Have you ever noticed that the Christians who have the most compassion are the ones who have been through the storm themselves?
God can used you. Just tell Him you want to be used.
Prayer
Help us Heavenly Father to allow you to use us as you see fit.
Help us not to live in the past and the mistakes of our past but to press on to the mark of the high calling through Christ Jesus our Lord.
