Whiskers on Kittens
It takes a good thought to get rid of a bad thought. You can't just not think about donuts.
Daffodils where there was snow
Broken clouds with a bright rainbow
The Joy of the Lord is our Strength
Knowing about the breadth and length
Of the love of God as shown in Romans
Telling secrets to another woman
The downy hair on babies' faces
Knowing there are crowns for godly races
Providing the reason for a child's smile
Warm, army hugs that last a long while
Please add on your own blessings and Bible verses in poetry or prose.
Happy thoughts.

Dema that is so cool!
I can't make a poem but I'll share a few of my favorite things and maybe someone else can put them into poetic words.
Warm summer breezes.
Golden rays of the morning dawn.
Satiny rose petals against my cheek.
The song of the meadow lark.
The lapping of the waves against the warm sandy beach.
A fawn with his white spots bedded down in the pine needles.
Making bouquets of wild flowers.
Little girls in fancy dresses sharing a tea party.
Little boys making truck noises.
The way a candle flickers.
A trickling stream.
A mothers touch.
A sisters smile.
A brothers laugh.
A Fathers love.
When the dog bites. When the bee stings. When I'm feeling bad. I remember a few of my favorite things and then I don't feel so bad.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

When I was in high school one of my English teachers gave up her blackboard for several weeks to allow us to create just such a list...here are a few of my favourites...
A child's giggle
Swinging as high as you can
Standing barefoot on warm, wet concrete enjoying the smell after a summer rain
Finding a bathroom after a really long wait
A random smile or kind word from a stranger
Finding something you thought was irretrievably lost
Taking something to the checkout only to discover it is on sale
The smell of fresh bread baking
Being snuggled cosy and warm inside during a thunderstorm

Whiskers on Kittens
The sound of the surf as it beats on the shore...gulls flying overhead, crying out to each other as they play 'tag' in the air over my head while I'm sitting on a blanket and enjoying their game.
The smell of salt air...the sting on my face...
The smell of rain after a spring shower..
The way the sun sparkles like diamonds on snow..
The voice of a friend or family member on the other end of the phone, I've not heard from in awhile...
The smell of wood burning in the firepit in our backyard, as we roast marshmellows in the early months of fall...
The sound leaves make in late fall-crunching under our feet when we walk on them...
Sunrise....sunset.....The colors of the sky during those hours..
Rainbows after a storm..
Baby birds singing in their nests in the spring, waiting for their momma's to come feed them...
God's love for us.....no amount of words can describe how it fills me up, and makes my heart leap with joy!
Daisy
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
