Suffering of a good man, Job

Postby morningrain » Sat Jun 19, 2010 7:55 am

Been reading through the Book of Job, Job is consider very possibly the oldest book of the Bible. Some believes it was possibly written by Job himself some think possibly Moses wrote it. It is really hard to say who wrote this book. Do know this places Job before Moses and Aaron which has always caught my attention, Job sent and sanctified them of his house hold, he offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all. To me this would make Job a picture or type of High Priest, plus he was the head of his house hold. Think much can be seen within this book and have seen the subject of Job pop up a couple of times here at Oasis.

And over view of Job is about the troubles Job endured and yet he refused to insult God (Job 2:9-10). But we do know that Job walked with, worshipped, and served the Lord God when very few did. God said, there was none like him in the earth,

I met a man last night...that could probably relate more to Job than any of us. In one night...his wife and 2 sons were killed. His daughter was heading to prison. And he himself was shot 11 times and survived. His house and all his belongings was burnt to the ground.

This was a few years ago. He is now using what he went through to travel and share his testimony with lost souls all over. He said that loosing everything was his sacrifice so that others could come to know the Lord. He said many have already been saved...just from him telling his story....this man lost everything he had...but he said he didn't loose His God...and God is now being glorified.

Sorry I went off track here a bit angeltears...but your posting brought this to mind and I felt to share.

luv ya sis
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Wow he really has endured alot. It can be so hard sometimes when something happens and hard to understand, but leaning on God and His understanding i believe it does become more clear to us over time and God uses that for a testimony to reach others. God bless this man and Praise God for so much.

Thanks Mlg for sharing. This goes right along with the message that the book of Job has to share to many.

God bless you Sis
