Hi Wonderfuls!

Blessings!

Do you have a favorite feed your faith story, either Bible, or living testimony? Or both? Have had a feed your faith message rolling around on the inside for a few days and didn't know whether to post one or feed my faith, so with this post, will have done both, or all three???

Bible first..wow! This is so cool! Mark 11:22-23, "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed , and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass ; he shall have whatsoever he saith."

One mentor of mine says of Mark 11:22 that his favorite translation of it reads, "Have the faith of God." Now remember that this scripture was given to us in the context of Jesus cursing the fig tree. The disciples heard him speak to the fig tree, but didn't think anything of it until the next day when they saw that it had withered away. I now understand why my mentor likes the translation, "Have the faith of God." It fits the context of the two verses better. "Have the faith of God, for verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou lifted up and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith."

This is oh so cool..., you will love it, ummm, lip smackin' feed my sheep cool! Makes sense too!!! We are Sons and Daughters of the Living God! We have His eyes, ears, nose, arms, legs, the glory given to Jesus has been given to us, and when we see Him as He is we shall be like Him...and we have His nature now, therefore we have His faith! We have His faith!

Now my faith story...It was the middle of the Winter, 1987. Had been in the restaurant business. Had a young wife, 1 year old daughter, and another child on the way. Something came over me one day, and I looked across the dining table at my wife and said the craziest thing anyone ever heard. I said, "you just sit right there. I am going to start preaching to you, and that is how we are going to get teaching jobs. No, she didn't get up, she just sat right there. I dunno, maybe she was too scared to move???

Anyway, I preached and studied and preached and studied, and preached and studied, and preached and studied..by and by 4 months passed and it was late June. I just kept preachin'. One day I had to take my care in to have a tire fixed. A baptist minister friend of mine walked up to me and said, "Dennis, I know where you can get a teaching job.."

Now mind you, I hadn't asked anyone, or told anyone I was looking.

I said to myself, "ah ha!"

He said, "I saw where New Mexico is going to all day Kindergarten and is in need of lots of teachers."

I went home and told my wife. She wasn't happy at all about going to New Mexico.... I went back to preachin' to her across the dining table. I studied and I preached, and studied and preached..two more weeks passed and I asked her again. Now I don't know if she was worried about the bills being paid or just tired of me preachin' to her across the dining table, but after two more weeks of it she was ready to go to New Mexico. That same night the Lord spoke to me and said, "finish what you are working on there and you will get your teaching jobs."

I called Galliup, New Mexico the next day and within' a week we both had teaching jobs with health insurance that covered her preexisting condition, a huge bump in salary, and other financial blessings I had no idea were coming.

Your turn...

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
