I see it now!!! I see it now!!!
Hello All You Cool Christians!
Blessings!
All the blessings of God's people whether Jew, Greek, Bond, or Free, belong to us now. I've just struggled and struggled to see how I could claim the temporal blessings of the Old Covenant though I do not believe in any way shape or form, that the law of the Old Covenant applies to us as it was fulfilled and set aside by the death of Jesus on the Cross. At that point a New Covenant came into effect, having a new name; THE LAW OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS, as opposed to the OLD, THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH.
Here is the understanding. The writer of Deuteronomy places Israel back in the promised land as a nation, and promises them the blessings of the New Covenant, Jeremiah 31, when that event has occurred., i.e., when Israel has been restored to their homeland after being scattered over all the Earth where God drove them. And in the writer of Deuteronomy's own words, in the same context with this blessing, Israel is restored with even more blessings than they had under the old covenant.
Deuteronomy 30, verses 5 and 6
And the Lord your God will bring you into the land that your fathers possessed, that you may possess it. And he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. 6 And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
Jeremiah 31:31-34
31 Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was an husband to them, said the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, said the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, said the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Therefore, if Israel is now under New Covenant of Jeremiah 31, (even though they don't know it, as many are still blind, as it is written, until the fullness of the gentiles has come in), then it is at this time we see we are entitled to those blessings for the purpose of arriving at our fullness, so Israel may see again.
I conclude that we are God's workmanship under the New Covenant, and are now able to say in faith without doubting that:
(1) We are more blessed , and all the completeness of the blessings of Israel under the law belong to us in greater measure than Israel under the law because God lives in us and causes us to love Him and one another through His presence in us. The blessings of Jeremiah 31 and Deuteronomy 30 belong to us as part of the New Covenant in Christ Jesus, as it is written, based on better promises.
3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock Âthe calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways of His love. 11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity Âin the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground Âin the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. You will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. 6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
Blessings!

Hello Saint701
God bless you this day.
Saint, thank you for sharing. I love when The Lord impresses upon me to meditate on a specific topic within His Word. In so many ways it's like a blessed wrestling match -- reminding me of when Jacob wrestled with The Lord (Genesis chapter 32).
Wooooooohooooo!!!
I just wanted to invite you to read the 9th Chapter of Hebrews, because while reading what you shared here in this post, The Holy Spirit led me to read it.
God bless and keep you, Saint.
Love,
Mack
