Bout Me...
Posted: Tue Oct 05, 2010 7:55 pmPlease know that I am just another soul on this journey called life, trying to put the function back in dysfunction, further ahead of some, and following behind others. I feel a drive to help others who are struggling to find inner peace, in lives that have been so unduely impacted by this condition we call sexual addiction. I also feel great dismay over our inability to break this cycle at its source, eliminating the need to help others pick up the pieces of the broken and shattered lives. The abused, becoming the abuser...the sins of the father. How much pain we could spare others from, if we could get the help after the abuse.
I have been on this journey of healing for almost six years, and I think that the greatest price I have had to pay, is to have seen all the immeasurable, unsurrendered pain I have caused my wife, who continues to carry those burdens.
I have worked with two consecutive sex addiction counselors, and have been part of four support groups.
But above all, my foundation of support has been our Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God's power is given.
My hope is to bring what knowledge I have garnished from both learning experiences, to any who seek healing.
