Day 7 -hmmmmm ?
I praise God and my friend the Holy Spirit for the progress I've been able to make with this study. I can honestly say I believe my life has been forever changed. I'm learning to live, love, learn and hang out with The Holy Spirit on a very close basis.
Praise the Lord
One thing Im unclear aboout is the topic "being baptized in the Holy Spirit." I'm looking for counsel about this. There are verses in scripture that clearly support a "second experience" for believers of being baptized by the Holy Spirit. I'm not convinced that this is "a step" God has for all His people. I believe God can "baptize His children" any time and at any place He wants. The scripture in this study suggests that the only thing required to receive the Holy Spirit is a willingness to ask by the believer. R we to assume then that God's people only "receive the Holy Spirit" (maybe more accurately BEGIN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WTIH THE HOLY SPIRIT) when they specifically ASK the Holy Spirit to come to them and when His people make a commitment to following the Holy Spirit ? Does that mean that if we dont ask the Holy Spirit to have a relationship with us that we miss out on His mysterious, powerful leading ?????
Hope that question makes sense. Open for comments and leading about this question...Yes. I'm going to ask the Holy Spirit about it -
Blessings and Love to you all !!!

Re: Day 7 -hmmmmm ?
Hi Bro, God wants to fill all his children with the Holy Spirit, it is essential for us to have Gods councilor dwell within us to get us through our christian lives spiritually intact.
I myself sought the Lord to fill me with his spirit shortly after being saved, this filling was the baptism of the Holy spirit.
We need a relationship with the Holy Spirit or else we die spiritually.
We cannot be affective witnesses without him, as it is him and his words that win souls for Christ, not ours.
Hope this is of some help Bro, God bless.from Brother True.

Hello Jamie808
God bless you this day.
That's a good question you have posted here. Just as God's children are varied, so too is our understanding of the wonders of God's miracles. I'll try to share a little of my own understanding.
Jesus Christ died for us and upon our accepting Him as Saviour, we are sealed unto redemption by His pure blood sacrifice on the Cross and the indwelling of The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit instantly takes up residence in the hearts of those that are Born Anew...Born Again. The Holy Spirit quickens, makes alive, -- giving us a new life in Christ Jesus. It is one of the many miraculous workings of The Lord God Almighty inside the believer. The Holy Spirit goes about changing us from the inside out to better reflect Jesus. He performs mighty works. The power of God is released within us to "be" the sons and daughters of God. That is the work of The Holy Spirit when He indwells us.
I understand and describe the baptism of The Holy Spirit as the power to "do" -- to go about doing for The Lord, being His representative within the world. The gifts of The Holy Spirit come with power to perform them, wherever God wills. God never asks His children to perform His miraculous without having first given them the power to do so. God's children are the vessels that He uses to perform His miracles.
Remember the prodigal son -- he took his inheritance and wasted it on worldly endeavors. The prodigal son had possession of material wealth which could be seen, held and wasted. The spiritual inheritance of Spiritual Gifts can only be used when we're connected one on One with the Source...God Almighty. Therefore, if I, as a Born Again Christian, fail to connect with The Holy Spirit, but choose instead to walk in my flesh, I have in essence disconnected myself from the Source of that blessed and miraculous power -- the Source being The Holy Spirit. He, The Holy Spirit, remains within me (indwells me), but, I am not operating with the power (the fire) to "do" as long as I remain carnal or choose to walk in my flesh.
God is so Good!!! He still continues indwelling within us -- changing us from the inside out.
Why do some get the baptism of Fire quicker than others? Because we are all different, but He, God, knows exactly when we're ready -- His timing. Each Born Again Christian does, however, have the indwelling of The Holy Spirit and He is making miraculous changes within us, to better reflect Christ Jesus. He loves us! The power to "be" a child of God is at work within each Born Again Christian. Hallelujah!!! Thank You Lord \o/ \o/ \o/
I hope this helps. God's will be done.
God bless and keep you.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

When we ask God to be our Lord He gives us His Spirit to do this and mold us to be a good servant for Him.
christianity is not a religion it is a lifestyle of having a relationship with Jesus
