The price of one's calling

When God has a calling for our lives, He must take us through many dark and lonely valleys before He can use us. God must be able to trust you with His giftings before He can bestow them on you. You see, the reason many people turn away from God is because they weren't able to handle the tests and trials. If God has to be sure of us, He must try us to see what we are made of. Trials bring out secret things that are hidden within our hearts. These things can hinder us from effectively doing God's will. That is why you must be put into the "fire" to be purified and refined. Like Job, we may have to endure many sufferings for His name sake!
Only when God has proven you can He use you. You see, if your giftings do not bring glory and honour to the Lord, then you have used them for your own selfish reasons and God will not be pleased with that.
Whatever talent we have, when we use it, Christ must be seen. Not us!
